Truthfully I’m a bit disappointed. I thought the DJI mic 2 would be better integrated with the Neo similar to the Osmo Pocket 3. Hopefully an update will allow the Mic 2 to be connected directly to the drone and save one file with the noise cancellation done.

Can you connect the dji transmitter to phone and record by using 2 microphones? We vlog and we will be 2 in front of the camera. 🙋‍♂️ I was thinking this way you can use also noise reduction from microphones and also from app? Thanks! You do such a good job! 👍👍👍👏

G'day I don't have NEO ....yet! However I do have two x Mic 2s for my Osmo Pocket 3. I am researching the educational/training possibilities using the NEO as an aerial camera. This may be a dumb question, but is there any way to connect 2 Mic2s using the Receiver (RX) and still use the phone for the DJI RC-N3 Remote Controller. I would like to be able to use the NEO flying around a training event. e.g. demonstrating something as a tutorial and the video of course to be without the drone noise with the minimum post production? Ideas would be appreciated thanks.

If you were to use method 2 and 3 and manually sync your audio then you can do this with any microphone you own and just make the right audio adjustments in your video editing software to drown the propeller noise. Am I right or wrong?

Unfortunately the Mic 2 doesn't work with all Android phones using the DJI Fly app... - Samsung S23 Ultra: the Mic 2 works well with the Voice Recorder app, but in DJI Fly it gives a high pitch (10x speed) voice with long breaks... 😞 - Huawei P30 Pro: the Mic 2 doesn't work at all with the DJI Fly app 😞 - Redmi 11 Pro: the Mic 2 works fine with the DJI Fly app🙂

New subber here! Thanks for the vid, I was trying to use the audio record feature on the Neo app using just my phone which made some really strange noises but at least there was no prop noise 😂 I’ve taken the plunge and just ordered a DJI mic 2 standalone but after ordering I saw another KZbinr using a receiver plugged into his phone. That made me think I’d ordered something that was not going to work but your video has shown me it will work but with certain limitations, so thanks for that👍 I had a fright when I looked to see how much the whole set up was from DJI as it was much more than I’d paid for the Neo fly more combo!😮‍💨

The mic receiver would give you access to all the settings and you would be able to adjust your levels and many more other settings. However these mics are really pricey. Also if you became more comfortable with handling microphones and editing sound you will soon realize that the receiver is actually very useful.

Hope your phone will work with it. My s22 ultra and another guys s23 ultra do not work. You can Bluetooth bind fine, but the recorded audio sounds like chipmunks.

@@Amberdogproductions that’s a pretty good description of my audio too😂 I’m using an iPhone 15 pro max but gave up with the audio and stumped up for a standalone DJI mic 2.

In general it is believed that a microphone that connects via Bluetooth will not give as good of a sound as one would with a receiver or something that would connect via cable to a camera etc. Also don’t forget that the videos we watch on KZbin have been edited not only in the video department but also on sound. Most times the final product does not come out of the mic directly. Also if you want to drown the prop noise you definitely need to edit that on your editing software. This is the only way to get a clean and “professional” end result.
