I'm so glad I bought a set of these having no earthly idea how they work. And I'm so glad I clicked on your video first... Turns out, I actually paint Mandalas primarily and in 20 years, I never saw this method in action and I can tell already that it will be a meditative experience ... My cat was equally attentive to your video because she could hear children... She loves kids.

I'm a new Dotting enthusiast and, thus far, it's been an amazing journey learning all the different ways to make a beautiful piece of art. The ball-point dotting tools, to me, are the most challenging to figure out. The spacing seems to be more challenging with the bigger ball-points. I practice tons on black paper to get the feel before I start a time consuming piece. Thank you so much for your tutorials. Loving them!

@@jessyddesigns3109 Thank you! I have used the most random things to try to get nice even dots. I'm just recently getting back into this and I took a break because I kept having the same issue. I paint rocks with acrylic paint, and almost every time my first center dot- would not come out right. So I'd end up with a finished rock, and most other dots would be fine, except the white center one. I tried different sizes, colors & tools. It didn't matter, I practice first, still same result. I was wondering if you ever had that happen? It's so frustrating and I don't want to give up again... I'd appreciate ANY advice Ty!
@jessyddesigns31094 жыл бұрын
Yes I can definitely help you with getting that centre dot right. Are you on Instagram or Facebook? Message me on there and I can explain the process in more detail 😊 It sounds like you’re having trouble because your paint consistency and possibly pressure used when applying the dot isn’t quite right.

Actually the raised bumps in the dots are indicating that there's too much paint in the area but people like the textured effect they give to the image. I personally would prefer my dots a bit flatter but I have seen some beautiful projects with the textured look. It's a matter of personal preference.
