I am sooo glad I found this video! I have a set of coasters I need to finish as a raffle prize, and while the molds are still shiny, they came with imperfections that'll show on the top of each coaster. While I'm going to put cork on the bottom of each coaster, I don't want to aggravate myself with having to sand off drips when putting a thin coat of resin on the tops. I also don't want domed tops, I want 'em as flat as possible so drinks don't slip off. All of this was to say thank you for this awesomely helpful video! 😄❤️
@naptimecreations2 жыл бұрын
Definitely try this technique with them. It will be perfect for that. It's way easier than doming. The hardest part is waiting for the glue to try 😁 If you have a hard time peeling the glue off the back add a little heat from your heat gun and it will peel right off. Sometimes it's hard to get a starting point for peeling off the glue.

Thank you and thanks for watching 🤗 you can keep them outside. The ksresin liquid stone has a heat rating of 500(F) it doesn't get super hot here. But I'm sure they would be fine in hotter places too. If not, they're pretty sitting indoors inside a window too 🤗💗

Awesome, im so glad you tried it out. It will not work on holographic pieces. You can't pour clear over holographic creations. It will make the holographic disappear completely.

@naptimecreations Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, I think the glue might bond to the canvas. Liquid latex works on canvas. It doesn't bond to the canvas. You apply it same as I did in this video.

Hi- thanks for watching. I'm so glad this was helpful. Liquid latex works on wood. Apply it and use it just like I did in this video. You can get the liquid latex off amazon. It works well.

Thank you for this trick:) make I ask why you would need a top coat of resin if you are using a mold? I’m new to making coasters but doesn’t your resin and glitter get sealed up with the epoxy?
@naptimecreations3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, I give everything a top coat of clear before I list it for sale in my etsy shop. The top coat gives the piece extra shine, depth and protects the piece. Also over time your shiny coaster molds will lose their shine with continued use. All my molds that I make these flower coasters with have lost their shine. The molds have a matte finish now due to continued use and anything I make in that mold has a matte finish now. So I top coat it with clear. That makes the shine comes back. Hope that made sense 🤗
