I just discovered this today and am so glad you made this video to so eloquently explain it 😊 I can see with that last drag and drop example, you could add a Drop Correct state if you wanted to as well. The main use I can see is to replace the little arrows and an instructions I use to show the learner where to click on the screen, which I trigger to disappear after they have clicked it. This animation could be used instead, as you mentioned when the narration says 'click here'. That combined with the hover animation, so if the learner misses where to click, as soon as they move their mouse they will find what they need to do. Providing this simple feedback means we need less words to convey the same meaning.

I’m glad it was helpful! I think there are so many interesting use cases for these new emphasis animations. Thanks again for watching!

WOW! I had no idea they had added this when I sat down to work this morning. I've been asking for this for awhile! I was literally opening up SL to finish up a project and send it out for review. Then, I loaded up KZbin to play some music and I saw this video recommended to me. Now, the bad news is, I'm going to need a few more days to finish this project as it def could use some emphasis animations 😂. Thanks for the videos and great ideas to get started!

They’re pretty cool and simple to use. Check ‘em out and let me know what you think!

@@elearningacdmy Thanks! Yea, even just 15 minutes of playing with it here, I'm liking the "Shake", strong, and at 0.25 seconds. My client had asked me to cover up 3 options/answers and have the user click on them to reveal. And, I had used a "Swipe" animation to reveal the answers (using slide layers), but adding that shake adds just a nice, subtle touch to finish off that animation. Again, this came at just the right time for me.

Very cool! Feel like this could potentially reduce the number of triggers you'd need for some interactions.

Nice vid. Thanks. Any chance can you reveal how you or the editor explain how the slick edited vidoes were made? Quick tutorial will be helpfull.

I loved this explanation! I used this feature in my most recent project, but each time I come back to my project, they've unassigned themselves. I suppose it's a Storyline glitch with such a new feature, but I hope they fix it soon. It's such a useful feature!

Yes, I’ve heard of a few others who ran into this issue. Technically the feature is still in beta, so some minor glitches are to be expected. The good thing is, it’s not you! ☺️ Thanks again for watching! I’m glad you liked it!

I was working on this today and didn’t see this new feature? Interesting! 🇦🇺🎉

The animations themselves are pretty simple. I think what will be the most interesting is to see how people use them with interactivity.

Hi Tim, can you make a video on how to use Vyond animations and integrate/edit them in Storyline? I am seeing so many portfolios using both Vyond and Storyline. Thanks to you I've learned Storyline. I've played around with Vyond but I have no idea how to merge the two and ways to fine tune it to make it portfolio-worthy. Thank you.

I don’t seem to see the “emphasis” feature in my storyline. Am I unable to use this feature for custom picture items?
@elearningacdmy2 ай бұрын
What version of Storyline are you using? If you're using Storyline 3, that feature isn't available.

I'm not sure. Have you updated to the latest version of Storyline 360?
