I'm a heavy Evernote user, but occasionally I watch videos for different levels of use because I love to see how other people use the same tool that I use. In this case, the way you explain Evernote really likes me. Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for that Stewart - found it very useful. I just started using Evernote today and I'm on version 10.8.4. I was trying to make a stack, but although my first 3 notebooks have gone into what I thought was a stack I created, they are still listed under Notebooks in the left column. I don't see Stacks in that column. Did I do it right or am I missing something? The icon next to what I think is the stack I created looks like 3 books balanced on top of each other.

Hello. Good introductory video, thanks. I'm switching over from InfoSelect (a free form database) on Windows to a Mac. If I may, a few questions. (1) Does Evernote allow for searching on any word or number or only on note titles? (2) Does Evernote have a reminder function synced to the an entry in a note? (3) Are the notes stored on my computer or in the cloud? (4) Can Evernote be configured to require a password to access it? Thanks very much.

I started Evernote last evening for the 2nd time. I had an account almost a decade ago. Anyway I did some work last evening, but when I went back in today it was locked. Asked me to reset my password, I did I also clicked to revoke all other windows (or somn so) and I lost my work from last night. I had no idea that Evernote was trying to merge both accounts. I thought maybe someone somewhere got into it or something. The bottom line is I lost my work from last night how do I get it back?

I know nobody who uses more than like 5% of what Evernote can do. It's amazing but too much and too expensive. Search is messed up imho it used to be great and clear now it rarely comes out with whatever search word I use even if it's tags. If anyone can actually build just a 5% app I'd be down. Meaning.. I use it mainly for my personal digital archive. It's soo much better than the old fashioned way of folders and files. Because..you add multiple pfds and images etc in one note. Plus..you add comments around those. Which you can't do in a regular file structure. You could add a note file to the folder..but then have to open that etc.. I am currently trying the free version of Notion which seems to work but uploads your pdfs to the cloud and opens in a browser. I'm sure it's fine..but would prefer it to be in my own cloud.. like iCloud drive or something. Yeah..anyone with good ideas would be my hero.
