I've just decided to start learning this technique. I googled it and watched three videos before this one! This is the first time I was able to see clearly and understand exactly what to do! I've ordered from Beadaholique in the past and will remember to check with their videos first next time!

Please forgive me because I don't want my post to seem negative. I purchased the EZ Knotter Bead tool about three to four years ago and it was a difficult tool for me to use. I just couldn't get the hang of it. Again, I emphasize for me. I'm sure it works lovely for most beaders. So, for those of you who have a difficult time using it, I use a bead reamer to hold the knot and tweezers to tighten the knot close to the pearl. Again, please forgive me if my post seems to be negative. Not my intention. But, I will say that Beadaholique have great tutorials. Thank you so much for posting them. :-)

Bridgette Smith I know your comment was litteraly years ago, but I searched this tool to learn about it. First off, your comment was so tastefully and respectfully worded, a lot of people can learn from you! Anyhow your reply actually really helped me. So thank you!

Hi thank you for your videos, they are always very clear and easy to understand. About these tools though, I did buy one and I found that it wasn't conducive to stringing pearls efficiently in the long run. I found that it's best to learn the right way from the start of your pearl stringing ventures. I am now using the needle method to make tight close knots when stringing my pearls., I find the needle method the best technique to string pearls.

It is a good tool. I have worked with it a lot. The problem with it though is that if you aren't very careful, you will cut the thread into because the y you put it through is very sharp. I have tried working with the knotting tool, but still find it easier to use a needle or something to tighten the knots.

What are you trying to make and what type beads or pearls are you using? The thread size will really be determined by the project and the beads.

I've purchased a knotter tool, however the thread I have won't slide like your silk thread. I am using basic embroidery thread. Is that not going to work right?
@beadaholique9 жыл бұрын
+Jenna Larson Hi, Hmmm. I have not used embroidery thread with this tool before so I can't say for certain if it will work or not. It sounds like you are experimenting and it's not working. It looks like in the product description the recommended threads are all pretty slippery, so it could just be that the embroidery thread is too rough.
@christinebourne43366 жыл бұрын
I've just found out that it depends which way you put the point through the loop makes a difference to whether the know will slip the end or not. Experiment with both ways and maybe one way will work. I have successfully used the tool with three strand macrame cord which is not at all slippery and it works.

Could this work on stretch chords and elastics?
@beadaholique8 жыл бұрын
+SherIock Holmes Yes, you could use this tool with stretch cords but it might not give you as clean of results since the stretch of the stretch cords might cause a little difficulty knotting.

I can’t slide the knot down to the bead. I don’t know what the problem is.
@ZeonGenesis3 ай бұрын
My thread wouldn't move, just got stuck around the needle thingy.. then when I finally got a knot, it was too tiny to hold the bead. Wah.
