How to use Fanatec & Heusinkveld on Playstation! (DriveHub)

I’ve had a csw 2.5 for Pc and my drive hub got delivered today. So thanks for reaffirming my purchase. What I want to ask is how do you like your formula 2 wheel, I’m on the fence about getting one but have been wanting one for more serious track stuff. I have the gt2 bmw wheel since I wanted to drift, race and it was the best feature to value wheel at the time. I know the wheel isn’t as important as the loose screw behind it but it seems nice to have both kinds.

What has been your experience with the Drive Hub so far? Are you using a 3rd party wire controller? I heard that's necessary or else it'll stop working after 10 minutes. Can you use a wired PS5 or wired PS4 controller if, on your PS5, you go to "Settings" --> "System" --> "Power Saving" --> "Set Time Until Controller Turns Off" and set the time to "Don't Turn Off"? The reason it might stop working after 10 minutes could be because the controller turns off because of this setting. Thanks.

@@Tugennov it has worked great once I took it out of “fanalogic” mode. The mode in which it emulates my fanatec wheel as a Logitech g29. It had bad FFB and oscillating in that mode. You hold the start and share buttons on the wheel and it changes to fanatec mode and it was good from there. Yes I had to buy a wired controller for my Ps5, it wouldn’t recognize my ps5 controller or I forgot to try. I got a nacon wired compact controller. Once it was in the right mode and I tuned the FFB settings in game and the ones built into the wheel it has been flawless since.

You can apparently. So you could have shifter / handbrake etc all on accessory via a usb hub

GIMX is an option that you can make I can't send the link here or the comment gets flagged. It worked great on my PS4 with Thrustmaster wheel. PS5 support is apparently coming.

I have the Fanatec GT DD Pro Wheelbase but also an GSI Formula Pro Elite Wheel. Is it possible to use the Wheel on the Playstation via the Drivehub? The Base itself works on PS but the Wheel doesn´t.

logitech - the mode is only related to the wheelbase.

Get the Thrustmaster TX leather edition, as it's virtually the same wheel, but compatible with xbox. Its what i have

Would this work if I buy a PS5 compatible base like the new Fanatec DD plus with the extreme wheel and connect it directly to the PS5. And then use the drivehub to use my Heusinkveld Pro pedals?

@@minigator2 Hey I´ve read that the PS5 only allows one input. But let me know if it was wrong information. Also I would really like to know if the FFB is the same if you connect the DD+ directly to the PS5 or through the drive hub and use Fanatec DD1 profile. I think you must use drive hub for DD+ and Heusinkveld to use them.

@@Sele81 oh no not this way! Both are plugged in the drivehub, but just those two. The DD acts as a controller, and it drives fine, just like being plugged directly in the PS5. Only issue I have is some instability sometimes on the connections. What I did to help is plugging cables in the DH and setting it flat, trying to not move it. And other for the stability of the signal of the pedals is putting the cable from the pedals and the DH somewhat always from the DD base, maybe due to electromagnetic interference. Maybe using ferrites helps, I’ll investigate on that.

Hey, I'm trying to get the same results as you with my dd2 and ultimate pedals but I have two issues right now. Can't switch drivehub to fanatec mode and pedals become increasingly harder to go full press, mostly brake pedal, as soon as the race starts, like if sensitivity decreases with each press. Two questions: which bumpers config are you using on your sprints and which buttons are you using to switch to fanatec mode?

@@David-qu3ro you need their past control module. The one that came with the Ultimates (not plus). The clear acrilyc one. You will loose compatibility with their PC software but the ps5 can't use it anyways. One thing though. Gran turismo calibrates the pedals nonstop meaning it updates max input available constantly. The only way to get absolute constant breaking pressure is adding a bumstop to the pedals. The ultimates + bumpstop is too "deep" for this. I added one with a coupling nut and some fastener clips screwed on the HE bumpstop's nuts (brake).

@@ApexSim I found that out after commenting! Crazy what needs to be done but at least there’s a way. I think I’ll check and see if Collective Minds is working on a fix for compatibility before shelling out money for one though. Thanks for the tip on how GT7 handles them. I must say though, I don’t quite understand what you’re trying to describe. Could you post a picture to Imgur or something? I know YT doesn’t like links in comments, but maybe break it up and I can patch it together. Thanks! Also, did you have to recalibrate the pedals with the old board like the HE website says? Or did you just plug them and go? That would be extremely annoying having to reprogram them any time I wanted to play some GT.

@@David-qu3ro I did not recalibrate. I think the old module doesn't hold calibration config, it is just a hub for the pedals in the case of using those with the ps5. The thing with the brake is that every time you press the brake harder it becomes less "sensitive" and after a few laps you will notice that you are breaking less when applying same amount of force, this because the game works with pedal travel detected and not brake pressure. You would have to be absolutely precise with how hard you press the pedal to avoid this or install a bumpstop like I did.

Hi. I cant switch to the Fanatec Mode. I use the Grand Tourismo 7 Fanatec DD Pro Bundle with the Heusinkveld Sprint Pedals. In i Press the two buttons to Switch, the Drive Hub stay in the Race Mode. In Fanalab Mode it works. But the Break Paddel is so soft. I think maybe 10 Kilo Breakpower. Have anyone an idea? Thank you for this Video …

As another commenter said, the HE Ultimate pedals don’t seem to work with drive hub for some reason. I have the Ultimate + pedals and they straight up do not work. Trying to see if anyone has a fix.
