Also, something that you can do if you don't mind splitting up your group or riding by yourself is go to the single rider lines. The line is generally shorter, and they pull from that line to fill up the rides to capacity. When I went on Soarin, we went through the single rider, and our expected wait time was like 5 to 10 minutes as opposed to the hour long wait on the main lines.

Man, I remember when FastPasses first were introduced! It was one of the most exciting things in my childhood because I no longer had to wait hours in line for Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain, which always ate up our park time!

Never done Fastpass....I assume you need to go to the ride and in front are the machines for Fastpass. When I get to DCA I want to go on the Cars ride then go to Disney land to get another fastpass for Thunder Mountain. With my park hopper I should be able to bounce back and forth if I have to?

Hi! So I'd like to run over to Space Mountain when I first enter to park to snatch up that Fast Pass. But let's say my sister wants to take my nephew to see Mickey first thing. mrcheezypop Disney foods video would be awesome! (As cliche as this is...) have you tried the Grey Stuff yet? Is it at Disneyland or just at WDW? Also, the only Disney park I've been to is Cali Adventure, and I ate a salad from Boudin Sourdough (I know, totally not a Disney restaurant, but sooooooo good.) Another H2D I'd like to see you do if you can (by going to WDW and Disneyland if you can in the future) is a How 2 Special Disney. In other words, highlight a few of the special events that Disney does, such as the HGTV Garden Show, Food and Wine, Expedition Everest 5K, and so on.

mrcheezypop It'll be tough, but I think you'll be able to get enough for a trip to WDW if you start saving now. Call it a business expense. :P Plus, one trip to film pieces for an archive on special events means you could do one video every few months to highlight the calendar events. It's pre-production that will help you get that idea moving. Along those same lines of special events, perhaps you could talk about the Dapper Days and Disneybounding and so on. It would be a good video for you to do around Halloween.

Yay Fastpasses! I LOVE using fastpasses they make a Disney trip so much better! I hope that Disneyland will maybe implement something like they have at Disneyworld where you can book your fastpasses online a month before your visit! When I was in Florida for Leakycon my friend and I did that for our Disney World trip and we could get a general idea of our day and plan the rest of it around our fastpasses. Gotta maximize our time while we're there ;P

Don't know if anyone else posted this but when I worked at the park (about 6 years ago) the cast members would allow you to use the fastpass even after the time slot was over. The reason behind it was just in case there was an emergency or something and you couldn't make it back in time you could still use it. But it only counts for the same day. Don't know if they changed that policy though (due to the fact that I'm stuck in Oklahoma and haven't been able to go in >2 years)

They DID change that policy...first at WDW, then at the DLR. They're much more strict about it now.

Would you recommend arriving at Disneyland at around 3pm or later on a weekend? Thinking being, we can stay until closing. We're afraid if we get there too early (8am) will end up leaving early (2pm) we want to make the most of this trip. We haven't been there since 1998. Silly me thinking it's only for kids. Considering how the world is going to hell, being a kid again isn't that bad of an idea.

I guess it depends, my family and I went the last week of June on a Monday, arrived there around 11 am and stayed till the fireworks show at 9:30, the thing is that we had no idea about this fastpass thing since it was our first time there, and we waited in line like idiots though we got to ride all the major attractions, you can BYO food and non-alcoholic beverages, I am pretty sure fastpass would have saved us a couple hours because we waited in line for Splash Mountain like 90 minutes but I loved that ride!

+snarfadoodle fastpass made a huge difference, we waited on line no longer the 45 minutes for the big rides. We went on big thunder 7 times, space mountain terrified us. But it was fun. I missed Disneyland.

At Canada's Wonderland fast pass is a wristband that works on most rides any time you like but it's like 65 $ . Does disney fast pass cost any $ I can't remember I haven't been in 3 years

Universal does that too! I think their price changes based on the season you're in. Like, the peak of summer and during Halloween Horror nights it's at least $80, but in like May it's much cheaper.

Hi! I'm all for a video, but I think I can share some tips :) I mean I'm barely an adult (18), but I've been to Disney world without my family many times. It's not Disneyland, but it's similar enough. First of all, will you be going alone or by yourself? Both are awesome for different reasons, but it does effect your day. The main pro of going alone is that you don't have to agree with anyone on anything. It's all 100% up to you! The con is that it can get a little lonely after a few hours. Anyway, I think that going without your family simplifies things. You can stay later, eat cheaper food, ride those rides that make your mother sick. Don't for a second worry about people judging you! For anything! Sometimes I go to meet characters by myself. They're always lovely, kind, funny, etc. If you can't act immature and silly at Disney World where can you? So basically act like the biggest five year old you can without being rude to the other guests/castmembers. (Also maybe have a basic plan of what you HAVE TO ride and the longest line you're willing to wait in. I'm against scheduling your entire day, but if you decide on these things you'll save yourself a lot of time. And wear good walking shoes.)

You can literally do whatever you want whenever you want and not have to worry about anyone else! Anna Mendoza I'd say get that radiator springs fastpass first thing in the morning as those go very quickly, then go get the World of Color one. You should be fine.

And FPs from one park to the other don't count against one another....the same applies to FPs for reserved viewing sections for WOC or Fantasmic; they don't count as regular FPs. That being said, I have had 3 regular Fastpasses at the same time, all within one park. It's possible, depending on separation of return times!

I'm not Max, but basically: Fastpass, you do what Max does here. FastPass+ is basically instead of where you put the ticket in and it comes out for a certain time, you have to go to a specific spot in the part (they have little areas everywhere) and schedule when you go on the FP ride. Of course, just like regular FP, they only have a certain number of people who can go at specific times, so there's always the chance of running out. On the plus side, you can schedule up to a certain amount of time before you go to the park, which can be really amazing if you use it right. Of course, if you buy your tickets the day you go to the park, there's a lot less available to you, which can really suck. If I didn't explain it clearly, let me know!

I think Michelle gave a great answer there. And the difference between Disney World and Disneyland....well that's a video for another day I think! But basically Disney World in Florida is made up of 4 parks, tons of hotels, it's enormous. Disneyland is much smaller. Just 2 parks, and only 3 hotels. I'll definitely do a video about this soon. :)

mrcheezypop That'll be a worthwhile video! Fastpass+ can be really confusing. One tip I have is that when/if you pick out your attractions online fiddle with them a whole bunch! You can pick their different options, but once you do you can edit your fastpass selections. This can let you get fast-passes earlier in the day and closer together. Sometimes if you click on the "Change attraction" button you can even get a fastpass for something that you weren't able to get one for before. And then of course the earlier and closer together they are the sooner you can get that fourth fastpass! If you can't tell I've spent a lot of time figuring this out XD It's a result of my friend and I both having annual passes but not on the same account, so to get fastpasses at the same time we had to figure this out. So if you ever run into that situation, that's what you do.

Just letting anybody who cares know, that the FP with Roger Rabbit in toontown is not connected to the system at the rest of the park. That means that you can get a FP to another ride in the park after you get one at Roger Rabbit even if it says you can't get a FP to another ride until __:__ and vice versa. So that means two FPs gotten at the same time.
