@Cleetus765 жыл бұрын
Is this necessary in Plex still? Doesn't it now read the file metadata
@accessrandom5 жыл бұрын
If you set up your Agents to read the file metadata, it will simply take the info from the file, including any embedded image to display as the poster. But if you have the Agent set up to scrape external sites (and I could be wrong since it's been a while), - I believe it will still look at the filenames.

Is it possible to rename the extension as well?
@accessrandom3 жыл бұрын
In the version that I am using (which is the same one in the video), I did not see a way to change the extension, sorry.
@seanzhang38733 жыл бұрын
@@accessrandom Thank your for the reply! I actually figured it out by just right-click the file and selecting “Edit Format" and adding the extension behind the format, e.g. "{n} - {s00e00} - {t}.mp4". Then go to setting at the bottom right and select "Override" under Extension. It only works for the TV shows for me tho, a single file of movie does not work.

I just found found out this thing works in just windows is there something like that for Android. Organizing the files on Plex is a little confusing so something like this would be tremendously helpful ! I just ordered a new Android box, about 5 hours ago and now I find this filebot program, hope I did not do wrong and stupid like getting another Android system Please get back with me ASAP. Please hurry I might still have time to change my order. Thanks in advance Brian
@accessrandom6 жыл бұрын
It is definitely a time-saver for me. Unfortunately, I haven't tried any file renamers for Android (there doesn't seem to be much out there). Would you have access to a Windows PC? As long as the Plex media is on the network or is otherwise shared with the PC, you can always use Filebot to just rename the shared files.

01x?? or 1x?? is a recommended format from plex
@accessrandom3 жыл бұрын
According to Plex's website about naming, they follow the SXXEXX format (for example, s02e17). I think the newer versions of Filebot have a template just for Plex naming (which wasn't there in older versions).

@@accessrandom i tried using this for some anime, and anime usually doesnt have seasons, its ongoing until it ends and when i did it for one of them (hunter x hunter 2011) it separated the show into seasons, its not a big problem because its still organized into plex properly and the episodes are in the right order but is there a way to fix that?
@accessrandom5 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I haven't had much experience with anime, but I've heard you can use the AniDB selection in the Fetch and Match Data menu at the 3:48 mark. Another viewer in the comments below (timster788 ) suggested that there's a plugin for Plex itself to help it scan anime.

Is it possible to translate the titles? I'm from Brazil and would im like them in Portuguese.

I believe you can select the language by clicking Match, and then Preferences. This assumes that the translated title already exists in TVDB.

Do you know why plex will not find a tv show series after I changed the name of the titles?
@accessrandom6 жыл бұрын
The most common reason I've run across is the Plex agent settings. If you go into your settings in your Plex Media Server, then Agents -> Shows -> TheTVDB, make sure TheTVDB is the first in order (you can drag and drop it into first place). Otherwise, it may be a show that may have had a same title in two or more different years (like the one in my video) where you need to add the year in parenthesis after the title.
