I've always preferred and used Windows Firewall Control which is simply a better GUI for Windows Firewall.

Hmm Brian I wish there was similar software to block spam emails as I get so many that even Microsoft Outlook program is not able to be set to block certain sites that are often a "no reply", a simple site name one beingtitled as Microsoft or one that has a site address that can be blocked only to have the address slightly changed to again be included in my inbox..

Most antivirus suites already come with a firewall and all routers/access points have firewalls

do u have a video on how to set up Windows Defender firewall or is it preset to its optimum settings by the system?

Is there an option to import all firewall rules manually and the choose to deny some apps access? because i installed it and it seems that i must allow access for every app again

how do u know what is malware or hackers as ur allowing/blocking certain programs
@skwiggsskytower2517Ай бұрын
when you see a block notification, you can write it down and research the program. or simply block everything and try to use your machine and see what's broken The effort you put in will determine how successful the protection is.

Hello once again, interwebz man 👋 I have a question, as someone who's more hardware-savvy than a software enthusiast: - How likely would it be for said malware to be made to infiltrate these 3'rd party programs-first, rather than trying to go around them? As in, attack the 3'rd party software and gaining access to one's PC afterwards.🤔

Where is the link for simplewall? Thank you
@tonpijpers9518Ай бұрын
For that purpose I use Malwarebytes Windows Firewall Control program.
@GaryBeltzАй бұрын
Just for clarification, this is for a computer that does NOT have another malware program installed like BitDefender, McAfee, etc?

If your Antivirus has firewall, then you don't need this.

@@virtualheadless4764little late but I think Henry has been a bit of the rails for awhile and said he has no intentions on resolving those “false positives”. Of course, it’s open source and you can verify it yourself and it has been awhile seen I checked his GitHub page.
