How the hell do you speak so WELL!!!! (I'm a native English speaker) You give me so much inspiration for learning a new language. Your pronunciation and fluency is perfect... just HOW!?

Holy shit I've been doing 87 Flashcards a day and it's really burning me out, I'm so greatful for your video, now I can heavily reduce the load. I was getting demotivated and questioning my ability which made me even more set on proving I could do it. Thanks for releasing me from this Pit.

For me, the best way to learn a new piece of vocabulary is to write it down in my notebook with its definition, and then I make some sentences using that particular word. It has worked for me in an amazing way.

sometimes I have troubles with making interesting sentences with new memorized words. Recently I have discovered chat GPT and it helps me a lot. I can choose from multiple options suggested to me the best one for me.

Interesting as usual. Using sentence flashcards with one new word at a time sounds a bit like what a Clozemaster does

Hi, what about the flash card app project? Did you make it in the meantime? I wanted to start using memrise but come to find out that recent updates have killed the well established flashcard idea behind it, so maybe if you haven't started the flash card app project there might be a void to be filled. Or else if it already exists where can I find your flashcard app?

Would have really been great had you made a list of apps to use and a list of the 1st 2nd 3rd list of the 500 most common words. In english would have been good as there will never be a premade app for Albanian. I have been here for yrs. I can make sentences but most of the time they talk, i dont understand them.

I've been using flashcards in the wrong way though. I put the sentence in the language that I'm learning in the front, and the transition in the back. Should I throw away all of my flashcards? I have 7 months of them. :(

It works great that way in the beginning stages. After hitting intermediate you can start to translate into your target language. It's beneficial to be translate bidirectionally. Good luck!

I would find reviewing flashcards for retention too boring. I think I'd rather read through a long list of words, dive into more immersive activities and maybe review the list only a month later

It's true that most people find flashards boring. My advice would be to still use flashcards, but make it a small part of your learning.

@@loistalagrand I guess so. If I keep reading and listening during the time I would have spent reviewing too many flashcards I think I would encounter some words from the cards and make learning more fun. Flashcards on the other hand could help me keep memory of a larger vocabulary of words that are uncommon. I'd still need time to practice by using techniques like shadowing dialogues, talking, etc
