Can the paper be sewn (no thread, just to outline a pattern) or will the wax build up in the bobbin area?

Yes it can - no wax build up :)

Can you cut a piece down to a regular size sheet of paper and run it through an inkjet printer? I know they have sheets precut that you can buy, but they are SO much more expensive than just using a roll of it from my grocery store! Thanks in advance for your input!!

Hello Susan - yes you can!! cut precisely, help them to loose the curl by leaving the stack under some heavy books over night and test your printer - you might only be able to run 1 at a time, but some printers will let you print on a whole stack. Hi Joyce, i use freezer paper for lots of different techniques and because it has the waxy side, when you iron it to fabric it stays there so that is great for trimming blocks also. Many people even use it for their applique templates.

Linda, I'm not sure - you can iron Freezer paper to the Lycra being far more careful so not to melt the Lycra - but i'm not sure what you are working on - sorry.

Hi pommyjill :) - honestly i don't know - i have never had that happen. i am wondering what brand of freezer paper you are using. it might be the quality of paper? but in all honestly, i don't know :(

Diane Guetterman - hi. I use freezer paper in many ways. For this technique it is an easy way to make a template that is secure into a block to trim down the block to size. In the series about making the Lone Star quilt I use it as a diamond template. I will also is it as a free style template for paper piecing. wax? or plastic? If you used waxed paper you would make a mess of your fabric. I think freezer paper has a plastic side, no wax.
