Super helpful after searching various Google documentation. Since this video came out, the app password portion at marker 1:02 was not found but I was able to search on that page to find it and continue the process you laid out. It did take a little time for the final propagation to render. I took about 15-30 minute break and came back and it was working. Thank you!

I'm having trouble getting past step four. I'm not getting the verification email to proceed with my setup to "Send Mail As". I have the Enhanced Protection plan and I reached out to the support email a couple of days ago for assistance and got a mail delivery failure message. I also get a mail delivery failure notice with a 554 Error for my new email address with the created alias instead of the verification code to move forward. I emailed for help directly on the website and haven't heard back yet. Please advise asap.

No, just do exactly what's in the video. My custom domain is hosted by a different provider but I followed exactly what's in the video and it worked perfectly.

Although Google offers this feature, they apparently don't want you to use it. I'm getting bouncebacks when I send emails to GSuite customers. The error message is "Message not delivered -- You're sending this from a different address or alias using the 'Send mail as' feature. The settings for your 'Send mail as' account are misconfigured or out of date. Check those settings and try resending." -- Misconfigured? Outdated? It's your own feature, Google!

this is really nice i almost wanted to implement this fully. but everytime i send email it will say "via gmail.com", and all of the emails will land in promotions tab of gmail users. gmail thinks its marketing email ugh. in my own gmail, it does say "signed by" my domain, but when it arrive to users, its signed by gmail. is there any way to solve this?
