Hi Melissa! Thanks for the informative video. I’m 18 years old, and I started using this product for acne. I can’t really tell if it’s helping or making things worse. I think I have may sensitive to dry skin. I also bought good molecules’ exfoliation toner, but stopped using it cause I felt that it wasn’t working for me. I haven’t used any such products before, and only started because of recent acne breakouts. Any advice?

These treatments can be very potent. However, how often did you use them? The frequency plays an important role. In case you've been using them daily, it might be best to reduce the frequency to 2-3 times a week. On the days you don't use them, simply wash your face with your cleanser to remove makeup or sunscreen you may have worn during the day, or just use water if you don't wear any makeup. This approach gives your skin more time to balance. If this doesn't work, then I would recommend discontinuing use.

Hello Melissa. Can I use the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser to wash my face before using the overnight exfoliator?
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet11 ай бұрын
Hey! 😊 I wouldn't recommend this combination, as it can become pretty drying over time, and you may end up with sensitivities. However, it also depends on your skin type, tolerance, and how well the products work for you. My advice would be to use a non-exfoliating acid, yet still a mild foaming cleanser instead. 😊

@@wissalwissal4814 Do you know the cause of your hyperpigmentation? I recommend keeping the routine very simple! AM: - Cleanser - Toner or Essence - Sunscreen PM 1: - Cleanser - Alpha Arbutin Cream or Hydroquinone (depending on which one works best for your hyperpigmentation) - Wait 2-5 minutes - Apply Moisturizer - if dryness occurs PM 2: - Cleanser - Retinal - Apply Moisturizer - if dryness occurs Alternate between PM 1 and PM 2.

Can I use the pink Bioderma lotion, which is suitable for my sensitive skin, and after the Korean toner from Haruharu, and then I use an exfoliating serum, and then snail essence, and after arbutin cream to treat pigmentation, and then snail cream or tordent cream. What do you advise me?
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Жыл бұрын
Is the Pink Lotion a moisturizer or a cleanser? If it's a cleanser, what's the exact name? If so, yes, the order of application looks good.

Good molecules recommends using toner, before the exfoliating serum
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet7 ай бұрын
Yes, that wouldn't be wrong. The order of application of the toner and exfoliant can be changed depending on your preference. In this video, I just focused on the exfoliant and hydration! 😊

Hi Melissa can I just use the Overnight exfoliator and not apply anything else? Or is it better to apply a moisturizer?
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet11 ай бұрын
Personally, I've found that it's better not to apply moisturizer; this approach has worked best for me. However, if you do choose to use one, make sure to opt for something lightweight, as suggested in the video. :)

I have the good molecules daily kit and use their toner between the cleanser and the exfoliant, as they recommend on the box. Is the toner not necessary to the daily routine in your opinion?

Well, no, the only way to completely get rid of wrinkles is through mechanical treatment, so essentially you would need to visit a surgeon. Otherwise, with topical products, visibility may improve. If you're looking into ingredients, then go for Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or maybe something experimental like bakuchiol.

Hello, "Also Melissa" (what a unique name! 😉), Firstly, regarding your "hole pimples," topical treatments tend not to be effective. I'd recommend consulting a doctor who can discuss options like laser treatment or microneedling. Nevertheless, the remainder of your skincare routine can certainly be optimized. Here's a revised regimen: Morning Routine: Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser Hyaluronic Acid Niacinamide Sunscreen Evening Routine 1: Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser Hyaluronic Acid Evening Exfoliating Routine 2 (to be done three times a week): Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser Either Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment or The Ordinary Glycolic Acid (as both are exfoliating acid treatments and quite comparable, feel free to choose the one you prefer) Wait for about 2 minutes to allow the acid to absorb and take effect Apply your moisturizer However, I want to note that the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion might be too heavy for your skin, despite it being dry. I'd suggest considering a lighter option like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream. It offers a more breathable finish and should be well-suited for your skin.
@victorbastidas6936 Жыл бұрын
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you for the reply, so the glycolic acid toner Leave that out? And also the Cetaphile leave it out of the morning routing? Also, if i change the cetaphile for the neutrogena hydro boost gel thats like a replacement for the lotion correct? Just lighter.

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet also, with this skin care will it help me close the pores? Or do i need to add something else? Thanks
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Жыл бұрын
@@victorbastidas6936 Yes, avoid using Glycolic Acid in the morning. As Glycolic Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), it means the toner you're using is functionally similar to your Good Molecules' overnight treatment. It would be beneficial to either select one or alternate between them. Moreover, opting for a light gel over the lotion is likely to show better results, unless your skin is exceptionally dry. Such a condition is rare, but should it occur, the Cetaphil lotion might be an appropriate choice. Also pores cannot be completely closed, but their appearance can be minimized. Achieve this by maintaining clean skin, regular exfoliation, using non-comedogenic products, and moisturizing. Furthermore, protect your skin from the sun as an additional measure to help minimize pore visibility.
