How to use GPU EFFECTS in After Effects

Eran, thanks. I'm sure this should be a empty question but what is the point of using "Software only" option? It seems, most of effects, transform like scale, position and blurring calculations using GPU, graphics card. So why my default renderer is "Mercury Software Only"? Thanks for the content.

After Effects can't assume you have a supported GPU this is why you need to activate it yourself.

@@SternFX So should we change our renderer to GPU as a default action and not to use anytime "Software only"?

I have r5 3600 and 1650 super should I upgrade tp 3060 ti ?? For fast workflow or i have to upgrade cpu and i have 32 gb ram
