I use a paste (drugstore brand) on my pixie cut after it is dry. I kind of rake it in. It has taken me a while to figure out the best way to do it. I like it because it makes my hair feel a bit thicker, not flyaway like a toddler boy. Yet not stiff feeling like a gel. Since my hair is very fine and very thin pomade doesn't work for me. I haven't tried a sea salt spray yet. For many years I washed my hair every other day but with this pixie I go longer, 3 or 4 days because it cuts down on the flyaways. Still trying to grow it out a bit after a horrible buzz cut. Thanks for your tips as well. You are always very helpful.

I have the same problem with very fine and thin hair, could you tell which paste you are talking about? I am not from the US so I dont know what you mean with paste from the drug store.

I use Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Finishing Paste. I really like it because it's not real heavy and my hair feels natural, not stiff like gels. Not greasy either. Also it smells like lemon--not perfumey.@@Damathus

The issue that I have is that I can do the look at 5:19 of the video, but it only lasts for a few minutes before it falls down to the sides, it doesn't stay. I then resort to bobby pins/hair pins. Can you give a tutorial on how to use them properly? Any tips?

1. Your hair might be too long. So cut off a bit might help. 2. Your hair is probably too heavy bcs of the length. So have your barber or stylist thin out your hair a bit. 2. You might need a stronger prestyler or a stronger end product

Try mousse before you curl it, then set with non sticky hairspray afterward
