Andy, I used your resumé and cover letter templates and I have an interview on Monday with a local company I'd love to work with. I've been binge-watching your videos and listening to them as I do chores. I bought the 'Interview Intervention' and 'Interview the Employer' ebooks to help me prepare. Thank you for the content and caring about us succeeding!

Hi Andrew LaCivita You have no idea how grateful I am to have come across your KZbin interview techniques. I have an upcoming Business Manger interview in two days, to work for the CEO for a blue-chip Company. I am slightly nervous but confident, I just want to make sure that, I do ace the interview, would you perhaps have any suggestions what sort of interview questions to anticipate or some great video to watch around this area. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated

Hi Andy, I am glad I found you, I love all your videos, and I follow them tirelessly, with your suggestion I was able to cut through with the interview process. The cover letter is doing its magic. Thank you, Thank you. And also could you also post some videos where employers hire only experienced and they are reluctant to hire candidates just out of college or with no office experience. This question always arises when I apply for jobs, at least 2/3 years experience. How will I get an experience if no one is hiring me? How will I convince the recruiter that I will be a good hire, I know I am good and I don't want to sound desperate.

Hey there! You're welcome and this is a great question. One of the best things you can do format your resume like my collegiate template (assuming you are just getting out of college). It's on the video this one trick with make your college resume stand out. Then check out the 2 videos I have on changing careers. I know you're just starting out, but it's the same concept. That will show you how to identify the capabilities you need to map for the employers!

Hey Andrew, fantastic. I went trough this job description: 'Strong personal relations'. How could I adress/cultivate this topic? What about: 'Client Focus'?Thank you for your great work.

Be sure to use the keywords from the jd in your resume and cover letter. Client focus, if you need to serve clients is good to use in addition.

Great video as usual Andy!…two weeks ago I interviewed for a position that I did not get. Feedback the recruiter received from the company was that I was not “strong enough” (presumably meaning not enough experience). Turns out the recruiter sent them a copy of my resume that had the last 10 years’ worth of experience, but shows mostly temp assignments and employment gaps due to family issues. Consequently, I’m now inclined to ask recruiters to send potential future employers a copy of my complete resume (shows 35+ years of experience), though the ones I work with tend to hold steady to the notion of the “last 10 years only” guideline. However, I feel in my specific situation that won’t help me…what are your thoughts about this? Thanks as usual!

David, great question. I'm a fan of putting my complete work history in the resume. I realize you're been working a long time (like I have!), but you can compress the amount of info you put for jobs further away from today. You might not need all 35 years worth, but more tends to be better. I know there are folks who will disagree with this because of ageism, but I've found it works to your advantage in most cases.

Hi Andy, I've been watching your videos ever since I resigned from my previous job a month ago. I am currently looking for a job which is in line with my degree, which btw, I don't have enough experience. If I may ask, would you recommend sending resumes to all the companies on that specific field even if you are not sure if they have job openings?
