Most of the time they won't call unless they arrive. But sometimes they can't find the exact spot or if they are stuck in traffic, then they could reach out.

Hi, I'm from the Netherlands and I'm traveling to Seoul in April. I've tried to make an account for both Naver Maps and Kakao T, but for some reason my Dutch phone number won't recieve any verification code. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Both apps are very important for traveling in the city and I wouldn't know what to do without them

For setting up Kakao Taxi, you don't need to set up a payment method. This is a step you can skip as you can pay to driver.
