Hello! I wonder if you can help me with a tricky challenge. I imported a korean ioniq 5 and i wish i could update the ECU, but the GDS in our country didn't fetch any updates. So the dealer cannot help. Is there a workaround for this problem? Anyway to get the Korean GDS or something?

Hi there, may I ask what the fault is on your car that you need to do the upgrade?

@@GoProAuto there is no fault but I suspect the BMS needs an update. For example, I know they added battery preconditioning and also the ICCU firmware was updated in many regions to fix some bugs. The SOH is acting funny too, it reports 92% but when I test the range and how much the car is taking in from the evse (after calculating efficiency and other losses) I always end up with 100% of the original capacity. Anyway, my motivation is to keep all ECUs up to date :)

Hi my friend. If your car doesn’t have TPMS, it means it doesn’t have the components and wiring too. So scan tool doesn’t help.

Hi my friend. This scanner is the OEM scan tool, you can find it online though, just search for “Kia KDS” or “Hyundai GDS Mobile”. And yes, it performs every single function for Kia and Hyundai vehicles Diagnostics and programming.

@@GoProAuto Ya iknow I already USE GSCAN , GSCAN 2 , & ZENTIH5 ALso I have GDS Program . But last IPDATE IS 2107 not New Cars , if u know GDS how to update somebody,, I like GDS TAB & KDS Bcox That is NEw high tech Technoloy, Even I pay 4 Everything coast, it Doesn't Matter,

I’ve seen some providers but I haven’t purchased from them as I use dealership’s scanner. Just search “Kia KDS” on google, you will find some of them.

The next best option is Kia and Hyundai GDS, which is much cheaper, it covers up to 2018 but for any models before that it covers %100 and wiring diagrams and manuals are included as well.
