OOOHHHH MY GOSH. Seriously so happy that I found your video! I've watched 4 other videos on people trying to explain what layers are and why I would need them and they all left me with questions. But the way you broke down this video, along with the beginning of it where you used actual plastic layers on your sketch book helped so much. And you took the time to show what would happen to your illustration if the layers weren't used ANNNDDD you took the time to show why the sequential order of the layers are important. Thank you so so much, I've got an iPad coming in today and I've been worried about not understanding procreate layers. Yayyyy!!!!

Is it weird that this video actually made me cry 😭. Don’t worry I’m crying of happiness because I have been trying to understand how layering works on procreate, and I have watched more than 10 different videos and still was mega confused. I just started coloring my first line work today and this was so helpful. I was coloring a character and was so frustrated that I couldn't see my own line layer under her skin. I know this is a few years old but... you did a really amazing job laying this out plain and simple. A lot of artists on youtube are more focused on showing off their knowledge than actually teaching people. To do that, you need to meet the learner where they're at.
