Just installed both open shell and retrobar on 2 of my pcs, 1 on win10 and the other win11 Working great so far, love having the classic look back. Really quick to get setup too which is a big bonus. Thanks for letting us know about these! keep up the great work

Great to hear and my pleasure! Which taskbar theme did you go with by the way?
@UnknownEntity4202 ай бұрын
@@memstechtips i ended up going with the vista aero theme for the taskbar, paired with the Midnight start menu (no pic, small icons, reduce glass colour). Absolutely love it

Classic Shell works great for me to change the start menu
@memstechtips2 ай бұрын
I prefer to use Open Shell on Windows 11 specifically. Classic Shell worked fine on Windows 10 but I had some issues with it on Windows 11.

@@memstechtips I use it on Win 11 Pro. No issues for me.

Bro we are waiting for the complete barebone (core) version of unattended file. There are a lot of users who doesn't want windows defender as well. Please consider putting that in list

Great video but I think I am finally happy with Win10 menus (well I use LTSC anyway!) but yeah Win11 is an abomination. These are very retro!

True, the Windows 10 start menu and taskbar is good, I like it too. But the Windows 11 ones, not so much...

We all have different tastes. It's not that I really hate the way that it looks, it's the fact that we need to use third-party software to modify it, like making the taskbar smaller for example.

I knew windows 11 was trash when I went to right click, and had to click on “more options” just to get to the 7zip options. A halfway decent OS would recognize after 2 or 3 times the things you normally right click for and ask to add it to the first few options…….. it’s the same when I want to add More videos to gom player. The option to add more to an already running player used to be the 2nd option when right clicking…….. nope you have to hit the “see more options” on the bottom…… thanks Microsoft

Yes, completely true that there can be dangerous code in any software. However, the software in this video is completely open source and has a great reputation. In addition to that, this video is for educational and informational purposes only, no one is forced to follow the instructions in this video.
