There is no heat mode in this remote, but if your AC remote has heat mode, then if you select that mode, it will start working in heat mode, but first find out whether your AC is a hot and cool model or not, if your AC supports heater, only then the heating mode will work

If your AC is hot and cool model or supports heat mode, then you can easily use heat mode by selecting heat mode in the mode button.

You can use 10minute plasma if you want, but I don't think plasma works.

There will be a spring on the back of the remote where the batteries are placed. Rub the spring with a pin and lightly rub the junk and then put the battery in and the problem will be solved.

I dont think this A/C unit have dual options Heat/cool. Usually 1st button under lid is mode for unit that has heat as well.
