How to Use LUTS in Camtasia

LUTS stands for Look Up Table (don't ask me why).
They serve two major purposes:
1. As a "corrective" filter sometimes used to provide a consistent look when different cameras or lenses are used or to correct / equalize lighting situations.
2. Also they can be "creative" in the sense that they are simply used to add some kind of color effects to an otherwise OK piece of media.

What would work great in your dropdown for the Color LUTs would be to allow folders. That way I could have a folder I labeled Bold, or Washed Out, or Funky, etc. And I could put similar luts together and not have to scroll through all the ones I have in the Luts Library to find the effect I am looking for, yet I could still have a large selection available to me without having to constantly import or remove selections.

LUTS are great with a caveat. A monitor should be color calibrated before playing around with color correction.LUTS are so wide ranging in scope. What looks good to you on your un-calibrated monitor, may look not great when shared to a larger audience. I applied minor color correction to several videos on a non-calibrated monitor in the past. I got monitor calibration equipment, calibrated the monitor and discovered the footage was fine. I screwed it up when I corrected it.

Hi Lon - Where can I acquire LUTs? I see Xinemax2 has them bundled, but I am looking for sources just to add to my Camtasia. Any help always appreciated.
