How to use Maria Rerise sinking stickbait

Thanks bro, you can find the setups on the description. Find similar lure weight cast the rod can handle, and at least size 3000 reel. Don’t use more than 30lb in my opinion.

this is just like metal jig, but sink much more slow, right? does it need to worry about snag bottom for the treble hook?

correct, you can play this lure to however you like, bottom mid and even surface sometimes. About the snag, nothing we can do about that bro, it's all depend on the location. Since i've familiar with this spot, I know it's 99% safe on the bottom

How's the shoregun 992 when using plugs? Is the rod specific to slow jigs only?

Excellent question my friend. This rod not so much for plugs since the tip is too flexible in my opinion. For plug rod from Palms I recommend 103 it’ll provides better control and precision while working topwater lures and tackling larger fish.
