That's the San Mateo Fishing Pier! It was closed off many years ago, but not sure if they've reopened it since I moved. In our younger days, my friends and I would be out there almost daily. It was actually the original SM Bridge, but after the new bridge was built, the structure was demolished and the span that remained became the pier. It was a pretty cool place to grow up, and still holds some great memories.

The old San Mateo bridge, now a pier, was only good for shark and rays. I never caught anything else. Used to fish there as a kid in the 1970s. Long bike ride back into S.M. and always seemed like it was against the wind.

Fun video, and Jun is always an entertaining sidekick. Re: the FDA. I spent over 20 years in FDA regulated industries and I can tell you from first-hand experience that they are NOT in control of anything except the rules. It's kinda like blaming cops for increasing crime. They are a regulatory body that the food and drug industries truly want out of the way of their profitability. If the regulations weren't in place, there would be a staggering body count (I've got stories...). Their role is to make certain the products are safe for their intended use; my role was to make sure the industry followed the rules. The perception of the FDA being the problem is heavily promoted by folks who want them diminished (mostly through lobbying Congress-critters to defund them) to sell more pharmaceuticals on TV to people who don't necessarily need them.
