Such a needed video. Currently have no midi on my board but I think it will be something I will look at in the future to change the board around. And hopefully this board comes this way. Would love to use this board and it does so much more than my little basic thing does. Plus I love the revelation, Lion and Lamb. Sound so amazing!!!!

Hey Jimmy, Thanks for the give away. Thanks also for this video. The run down on midi was clear and very helpful. I think you could do a series of this style of video, for example setting up the RV 500 or the Strymon reverbs. I dont think you own those pedals, but it would be helpful to the community to see that kind off step by step setup with the common brands. Using the whiteboard, worked very well. You could use that approach again for this kinda video. Thanks so much for the channel.

Great video but you're too quick to explain and being behind is very difficult. Question: I have a hx stomp is an Iridium strymon and I want to use them together via midi. Just connect them in send/return or do you need anything else? Does the hx stomp serve as a controller in this case or do I need an external hub? And then where do I put the sounds I create with Iridium and hx? This is what I can't understand about the midi world. I have always worked with single pedals or all-in-one multi-effect pedals, so I find it difficult to understand. Thanks for your reply

Jimmy, do you ever use HX Stomp to control your midi pedals? Currently my HX Stomp sends cc to my Jackson Audio Golden Boy, and PC and CC to my pad pedal, the Hologram Microcosm. I have noticed the microcosm sortve makes these weird crackle sounds so maybe I’m not doing it perfectly… but it is cool to use the HX Stomp as the brains of my midi outs!

I’ve used an HX Stomp and an XL as a midi controller for both a Jackson Audio Asabi and a Warlus Audio R1 with no issue. Of course, you only really get 6 messages, but for what I do it worked really well

Hi Jimmy. I have a MIDI Baby 3 that controls my HX Stomp. HX Stomp controls my Specular Tempus thru MIDI. My idea is to buy a MIDI box as you have in this video in order to send messages to Specular and other midi pedals that I have the plan to buy. This is also possible right? To control thru HX Stomp other pedals like Specular Tempus, Asabi and Broken Arrow depending on snapshots of HX Stomp presets? Thanks for your video! Is very well explained.

Same here… i use a real amp and just use hx for fx. Curious how others utilize it.

I would run the 3 dirt boxes straight into the front of the Stomp, put in whatever FX you want in the Stomp, and then run straight into the Iridium. Easy set up there
