Congrats!! You’re the first one of like 15 videos I’ve watched who does it correctly and soaps the wheel prior to debead and pushes the tire right off. Nice!!

I love these bead breakers. They work on everything, even the GS tubeless wheels. It might take going around the wheel twice to break the bead but they work.
@manybikes3 жыл бұрын
Right on! Yes Sir, they sure work well. I began using them on my R1200GSA after I dropped it trying to use the side stand bead breaking method... Ooopsie!
@mmaaddict782 жыл бұрын
The last tire I did on the 1200gs, I had to put it in a vice and smash the tire to get the damn bead to break. I’m skeptical that this motion pro tool would have done the job.
@advmatt2 жыл бұрын
@@mmaaddict78 worked for me, but I had to work around the tire two revolutions, take small bites at a time. It wont pop the bead right away, but it will if you work around the tire.

Carry these every trip! I also still carry two additional tire irons, but mainly because they have the axle socket size in the end, and because a third tire iron can be handy when changing a tire on occasion lol great video!

Nice! Yea, I always carry 4 irons. The KTM Branded ones from Motion Pro (these ones right here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4LToHaZZ9Rsba8 ) and the BeadPro. GREAT combo! Thanks for watching!

Yes, those are nice to have. Makes even tube style wheels easier. Especially tires with a thick carcass like a Motoz.

100% the Motion Pro bead Breakers are the best for the job. I have never had a Motion Pro tool that wasn't first-rate. Check out their chain alignment tool also...small and easy to pack with other trail tools, saves your sprocket and chain! Great job KB
@manybikes3 жыл бұрын
I totally agree and have had the same experiences. Those tire irons I was working with were purchased when they were created and announced nearly 15 years ago! They have broken no less than a hundred tire beads. Chain tools are coming up shortly when I do the chain and sprocket swap on the 950 here in a few weeks. Thanks for the tip!

I never seen the need for these until trying to take the 21” front tire off a friends 890 adventurer. That bead did not want to pop. And later sounded like a hydrogen explosion when it seated later.

These work really really well!

I'm little bit sceptic how you install the tire with these, because they are pretty short. And how Kyle installed the tire? We will never know.

Looks like itd be hell on the rotors. Why not stick a 2x4 underneath the bottom side?
@manybikes2 жыл бұрын
Good call! It is hard finding 2x4's out in the wild though. The "full feature video" this was pulled from was meant to replicate an "in the field" change, thus the microfiber rag between the rotor and the ground. Thanks for watching!

On a dirt bike, I would agree. The super stiff Adv tire side walls as nearly impossible sometimes even with professional tools. So stiff and hard to break. The flex down 1/4 the way and then pop back into place. Rough!!!

Great tool, unfortunately they’re made in China AND they’re bloody expensive.
