I'm using MacOS and this fix (Method 1 on the page) worked for me! www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-fix-virtual-camera-not-working-problem-on-zoom/ FYI any older versions of Zoom will no longer work after 5-30-2020!

Hi, there. You wrote: " if you're having trouble using the Virtual Cam through ZOOM, you'll need to install a previous version of ZOOM. Read more here: @t" But if I understand correctly, what's written in the article is the opposite... we need to install the newest version of ZOOM not a previous one... please advise, thank you.

@@Farceur1 sorry for replying 9 months late. Looks like the latest updates for zoom will work like you’re saying. The version of zoom at the time I posted this link wouldn’t work with Ecamm Live, but looks like it has been fixed since. Hope that makes sense

Hey Braden, new sub here and just stumbled onto your channel! Quick question and Im on the trial version. Im predominantly going to be using my I-Phone X as my cam with my Mac. However, its only showing my I-Phone in a vertical view and I want to rotate it horizontal so its gets a wider image of myself and my background. I couldn't find anywhere in the settings. By the way, it works fine for me in Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc. Keep up the great work and awesome content! ;)

Thanks for the vid! Can you please tell me if I’m having a full 1 second delay of the video coming from my camera using a cheap version of the el gato capture card(from Amazon), is the problem the capture card or can it be my iMac Thats from 2010? I can’t seem to figure this detail out and it’s stopping me from working a dual cam for lessons on zoom. I tried the with zoom or OBS and still get the same delay. So it’s not the software. Thanks so much for any input!

If I am using Ecamm for a zoom meeting, how can I still see the zoom chat box? That is where our members ask questions during workout. Thanks!
@BradenYoungVideo4 жыл бұрын
Of The Lion Fitness Hi! You have ecamm live running simultaneously to zoom, so when you’re wanting to look at the chat box, make sure you’re on the zoom window with the chat box open. You should be able to see both the ecamm live and zoom windows open at the same time, but you can always switch back and forth when needed. You will just need to make sure you’re in your Ecamm live window whenever you’re switching cameras etc. there’s a lot of other things you can do in Ecamm live that I haven’t covered in this video. Just wanted to keep it simple. Let me know if you have any further questions:)

Nice video. I have been wanting to upgrade to Ecamm Live. But I just want to know if it is possible to crop resize camera sources as it is done in OBS. In OBS you can pretty much build anything on your empty canvas. And you can crop (not only resize) your camera source as you want. Do you know if it has this capability? And also, can exam be controlled via softwares like touch portal?
@BradenYoungVideo4 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Did you end up finding out? I haven’t had a chance to check so OBS might be the best way to go if you’re looking for those features. I’d be interested in checking out OBS sometime!

Cameron Goss hey! My understanding is that you’ll need some other hardware (such as a camlink or similar) to connect your Nikon to ecamm Live. But I’d definitely recommend just getting the free trial and testing it out :)

Great video! Thank you. I can't seem to get my audio from my camera to my computer. I'm using a Panasonic AG-DVX200. I plugged in a mic to the xlr audio input 1. I put on head sets and checked the sound. It is coming in clear. I also have my camera connected to my mac via hdmi to a inogeni capture card. Ecamm and Zoom both recognize the camera and talk to each other. The only issue I'm having is I can't seem to pipe in the sound from the camera to Zoom. Any ideas would be grateful. I followed your steps. I tested my voice. I could hear it play back from the Zoom panel test area. However, I have no sound coming out of my Zoom meeting. Any help would be appreciated. (I am using the Blackhole16ch but I also downloaded the 2ch as well...so I have either option).
@BradenYoungVideo3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that - Ecamm doesn’t pick up the sound from the camera. You’ll need the audio connected to your Mac directly. I recommend connecting your mic to an audio interface so you can use it with your Mac. Alternatively there are USB mics out there but sounds like you’ve already got the mic you need. Just needs to go into the computer directly and not through the camera. Hope that helps
@bobnitko50723 жыл бұрын
@@BradenYoungVideo Thanks. When you say the audio needs connected directly how would I do that? Right now the camera is sent to the mac via hdmi then converted with the capture card. I have a Behringer U-Phoria UM2. Will that work? If so How do I go from the camera to this Behringer? XLR port two to the mic line in on the Behringer?
@BradenYoungVideo3 жыл бұрын
@@bobnitko5072 yeah exactly. What microphone do you have? Connect the mic into the Behringer u-phoria um2 via XLR, then connect the Behringer to your Mac via USB. The camera captures the video source and your audio source is the Behringer (and connected microphone). Let me know if you get stuck

Hey Braden, I'm following your instructions to get up and running with Ecamm live and zoom but when I click on the virtaul cam to switch it on it only shows that it's available with the pro version. The Virtual Cam feature is only available in the Pro version of Ecamm. When you sign up for the first time, you have a 14-day free trial, which will include all the pro features. The only issue with the trial is that you will have an Ecamm watermark.
