Really great ideas and even some philosophical bits here and there like the losing vs gaining bias. My "whys" for using obsidian are quite numerous but many are similar to yours. On top of that, I feel like social media (especially instagram/tiktok) are responsible for inducing some form of ADHD and I for one was starting to feel pretty scatterbrained so I use obsidian as a second brain to keep my ideas, lists, plans, study resources in order. Another big one is mental health, where daily and weekly notes help me keep track of my habits, progress in different areas, daily moods and practicing gratitude. Overall it helps me not feel lost or drifting without purpose. Thanks for reading my comment and if it's also useful to you, please consider making a video on an automated monthly notes template that summarises the weekly data. Thanks and looking forward to more obsidian content ^_^

I appreciate you leaving the note! And the daily habit tracker video that I say is kind of code-heavy from 2 weeks ago is a weekly roll-up for each day of the week. It's a solid start for a monthly tracker, too!

If you have something that works & you're happy with it, then I'd say stick with that.

The main point is that you have a system that makes your life better. Even knowing that it's possible, many people won't even give it a shot. That's what I'm focused on in this video: helping people overcome the inertia of not doing something that can help them. It happens to be Obsidian as the example case here, but the 4 steps here applies to any habit that someone might want to start (and keep).
