Olaplex saved my hair, best product line for my hair!! Thanks for the product description and how to steps. I have been natural for many years well before it was trendy but I prefer my hair straight (just easier for me) and I LOVE my highlights so Olaplex is a game changer for me! I wish they hadn’t changed the numbers. I would place all my products on the counter in order and it worked for me so well and so easy to follow. My stylist added professional olaplex toner (i think) during the color process and my hair is healthy and never dry. My favorites are #3, 6, 4P, 7, and 8. I have the 9, but haven’t figured out how to best use. Thanks for all the suggestions!!

Hey there! Think of No. 9 as a primer for all Olaplex styling products. It's a leave- in serum. You would use this 1st before using No 6 or No 7 .

You did that! My colorist first used and gave me Olaplex about 6 years ago, I think? She sent it home with me after she lifted my color and toned it. I was platinum for a good amount of time there. I just continued to use it after I went to a more natural base with highlights. I love that you really got into the science of it. You explained it better than she did. I just followed her directions.

Would you suggest olaplex for heat damaged hair and trying to prevent more heat damage? I only straighten Every 3/4 months when cutting my ends. My hair doesn’t ever get bone straight. Until recently I went to a salon a few times and she straightened my hair it was bone straight but now there is heat damage all throughout not even just the ends.

No you can’t use 0 without 3. Your relaxing your own hair so you need 0,3, 4,5 and 8 for your dry hair and dry scalp is a follicle blockage.

@@IamCynDoll Cub , I dealt with my pervious stylist for the pass 25 yrs. However, I saw a big change in my hair care. Going from extreme thickness to just fullness. I do have a relaxer but she stop advising me on other treatments I needed. Because I know my hairI discontinued her services and went back to doing my own hair. I would ask my grand daughter did she know of anyone who could help me she said no. I don’t wear weaves nor wigs . When I use my products I use the entire line verses substitutes. I know how to my hair but I have some challenges. It came back thick and is beginning to grow out long. I am not so much into long hair as I am keeping it full and thick. I would like a nice medium length bob cut. Everyone here in Det. are more for weaves, lace fronts, sew in, glue in, etc. I have ‘always’ dealt with hair care but today’s stylist only cares about getting you in and out.

It’s not for the scalp. It’s a molecule to rebuild the hairshaft. I’m sure it did make your scalp sore if you rubbed the product in the scalp or saturated the scalp with the product. You used it wrong love.

I specifically used their ‘curlific texture treatment’ which helped a lot with length retention for me and helped me when I went through hydro fatigue and it improved the elasticity of my hair. But I’m interested to try olaplex I always hear great things! I have low porosity 3c hair and my hair is in a great place as far as how it looks curly and flat ironed but it seems to need protein based products even though I have low porosity hair. I also was really heavy into deep conditioning (using TGIN and other natural hair care products) which felt like it was doing great things to my hair but was actually causing build up in my scalp and my dermatologist recommended ‘SEEN’ which is a non-comedogenic hair care brand. ( didn’t really care for this brand but just thought I would share)
