How To Use Optical Loop To Isolate Broken MMI Devices

A great workaround - nothing worked from the MMI down. I ordered a "Most Fiber Optic Loop Cable Bypass Female Adapter Detection Ring Cable" from Amazon, undid the fibre connector from the K-BOX RADIO / STEREO TUNER in the back RH fuse area and installed the fibre loop to the male input - bingo... MMI and most functions came back to life. No radio, but that's what is broken and left the fibre circuit open. I'll deal with the radio issue next, but everything else is working again. I'm very grateful that I was able to bypass with the fibre loop - many thanks for the vid and how this can be applied to other devices in the Q7. A really cheap and quick fix. Is there a video about switching from mmi 2g low to 2g high or even 3g with all necessary constraints? I am struggling to find in on the web. I have a6 2006 C6 4F 3.0 tdi with monochrome 2g low, and would like to dive into this upgrade.

How have similar problem I bought the female and plugged into the satellite tuner in the left in the back to isolate problem radio came on and started working for two months no problem now problem is back radio black screen stayed up no function I had back up female plugs I plug it in satellite tuner but now it doesn’t work so I finally need a new satellite tuner box or another module broke ? I’m lost need help

Help please I have 2006!a8 mmi black screen have that serious tuner was the problem I put bypass female in fiber optic male that was serious tuner box so screen case up working for 2 months now it’s out again not working do I have a new device broke now cause radio screen came up now it’s stuck again not working I’m confused can I have multiple devices broken at once ? I have extra plugs two more do I keep on plugging them in other devices while one is plugged in allready to tuner I’m confused and frustrated with black screen again before this lasted 6 months before I figured out bypass plug method but now it’s back after having two months of it working again smh I was using a Bluetooth fm transmitter to listen to music thru my phone that I just got three days ago then it came back again could that have messed up the mmi further I need answers

Edouard Fleurant yes, the optical loop is opened again, check all the power and components with MOST bus. Check the fuses in the trunk, 5A on the left and also big fuses behind the battery. Go to my website and search for black screen
