Hey man, you should consider doing some videos in a quiz format. Like you show the offensive play art at line of scrimmage, maybe a clip of some motion so we can get a read on man or zone, then pause it and ask "Would you do A/B/C" with hot routes, protections, etc.

This has to be one of the most useful videos for the game so far. So many of the o-lines just disintegrate in this game unless you know what to do. Absolutely vital to have this advice!

@kurtbenkert I don’t comment much on your videos, but just wanted you to know between CFB 25, and Madden 24 - you have helped me take my game to the next level. Your personal exp as a QB and football knowledge translated into the games is tremendously helpful and the break downs you do. You’re definitely out there achieving what John Madden wanted with the game and teaching others about football. Great stuff! Really enjoy your content.

Kurt, love your content dude! Watched so many of your videos. I only ask one thing; you tell us what you're doing, "half-sliding the line to the right and I'm looking for y on this corner" "half-slide to the left going to pump fake y and hit b" but you're not telling us what you're accounting for when you slide the protection in gameplay. It'd be super helpful watching this if you could give a playback freeze frame of the reads you're looking at since you're processing the information so quickly and also have so much information to break down. I have to keep replaying the same 5 second window to try to see what you're seeing so quickly! After watching it over and over again it's almost as if you're halving through the center, quickly counting the numbers on a half, and then half-sliding the line to the side the defense that has more numbers, or if they're in a 1 high safety look with 5 and 5 on both 'halves' you slide to the Mike side? Maybe? Unless there's an overhang defender on the line in which case you half slide to overhang side? Is a deeper in depth reason as to why you're shifting the line to the side you're shifting to in the Foundations guide? You do mention what you're seeing but it all just happens so quickly!

If you’ve played College football 1-4 years or played at a good HS program, this stuff is very easy to learn and apply. However, look at some basic pass protection schemes, techniques on KZbin for real life then come back to this video. It should become easier. I was a running back thus I needed to know my assignment plus I took it on myself to always learn my OL so encase its a miss read I can alert my QB or take the risk to add to my assigned blocks (sorry coaches lol)

Really could use a video about how to read these disguised coverages in CFB 25. For example, showing a 2 shell when the defense is in cover 3. Can be tough to read pre-snap. Thanks for the great content.
@TheeDonnieRey5 ай бұрын
There Is No Way To Tell Pre-Snap. Thats The Point Of The Shell. Make You Think Its A Different Coverage To Confuse You. You Just Have The Watch How The Safeties Drop After The Snap. That'll Tell You The Coverage Most The Time Unless It's Man Mixed With Zone, Then You Would Have To Check If Receivers Are Manned Up Or Not. Cuz Cover 2 Can Look Like 2 Man Under If You Just Watch The Safeties.

What playbook do you use? I’ve been using Arizona so far but was wondering what you would recommend
@dirk50445 ай бұрын
Thank you for the video, but we shouldn't have to do all of this. The blocking is broken, and even the sliders don't fix it. Played with LSU against Bama on All American in Dynasty. Their pass rushers were running on turbo. I couldn't even complete a screen pass to the RB, so I had to resort to the same few cheap plays to win. My blockers would literally stand there doing nothing, while their front line were all Lawrence Taylor reincarnated. And if you do get the ball out, Deion Sanders is waiting at any position to intercept the ball. Meanwhile, my defense has the reaction time of a D3 DB. A patch is needed asap.
