"Like" confirmed, just saw the video! The part where you add a path to an existing one solved a problem for me!😎

Happy to hear that! It’s a tricky one to figure, but very useful 👊🏼

I use this method quite a lot - I find it easier if I have a high dpi value for my image.

The higher the resolution, the easier it is to get an accurate selection :)

I'm using my pen / Tablet and being constant, starting with pen mode set to smart curves, not pen. Having the node tool on my bottom button is incredibly convenient that and the escape key are usually all i need.

Now you do! There’s things to be learned in every video tutorial 🤫

I think you made this for me. 😊 But, why would you use the pen tool instead of the selection brush?
@IAMRENSI4 ай бұрын
In this case the Selection Brush would’ve worked perfectly fine, because the subject stood out from the background. But in other cases the Pen Tool is way more precise, and the Selection Brush tool can get quite messy sometimes

It will be faster and more precise if you click and draw to make the curves as you go. One any software.

True, that’s how I do it as well. But I found that’s often the thing beginners struggle with most

As much as I want to keep using Affinity, their software is nowhere near as good as Adobe, knowing that they should've learned from their strengths and weaknesses, still their program kind of sucks imo. Even the most simple task in that can be done with Adobe is utterly complicated in Affinity, and it's frustrating.

Could you name some examples? I’m currently trying to figure out what the actual differences are between Ps and AP and what is actually holding people back from switching? Genuine question! 🙌

there's always a learning curve when switching. i been using Photoshop for 10 years. HATED affinity photo last year but i'm going back to it, and now, it's so much easier. more even so if you check on what is happening in Adobe and why even the professionals are leaving Photoshop.
