Wonderful video, thank you. Can you use pick up sticks on a two heddle counterbalance loom? I’m yet to find any info on this combo. :)

You can, but it probably makes more sense on a counterbalance loom to use extra shafts rather than go to the trouble of sticks. You could certainly use sticks in front of the reed, if you were doing that kind of pick up, but sticks behind would be a real hassle. Have you seen the Peasant Crafts channel? In the weaving videos they use a lot of sticks - either behind or in front of reed. Usually if they use sticks behind they have more than one person to operate.

This was a wonderful video, Kelly I am member of your weaving school and have been doing the lesson on two heddles that uses pick up sticks and after watching this video I only just now realized I can use pick up sticks with just one heddle!!!! Do you have patterns with just one heddle and pick up sticks? You are always so clear and so calm. So reassuring. Thank tou
