Absolutely. If you left the bottle open the water will drain much faster and you really don't want that

Till how many days the system drains? I am going for a week, can it help my mini plant ?

What you really want is for your plant not to be over watered. So the soil will keep moist until you get back. A simple way to test before watering is by poking your finger into the soil. If it comes out wet it simply means your plant doesn't need water cuz theres still moisture in the soil. One bottle shoild do for the 5 days. Be sure to keep your plants in filtered sunlight if posdible

Hey how u doing? Trust ur doing ok. When making your system you should ensure that the hole/holes are small and that air doesn't enter the system easily. If it does water will escape freely. Ensure the bottle is capped so you can adjust the flow as necessary. If you want to glue around the drips that could also help prevents air from entering system and forcing out the water

Regulate the flow of your drips by simply loosening or tightening the cap. If it is done properly then it should last for days depending on the bottle size

What you maybe needs to do is to try regulating the flow from the bottle cap. If the bottle is tightly closed the water will not flow. So slacken the cap and control flow via that
