I treat P mode as "ISO Priority" similar to A/Av mode or S/Tv mode.Choose one ISO setting and the Camera will set the rest.Override (Program Shift mode) the shutter speed or aperture values if you disagree with the Camera values. 100 or 200 best ISO for outside pictures on a sunny and bright day400 ISO for cloudy days, or indoors for window light portraits800 ISO for indoors without a flash1600+ ISO for really low light situations - that school play your kid is in. Different Camera body has different results (noisy) with different ISOs. Do read the camera manual or reviews about the ISOs higher than 3200.

Nothing confusing about p mode. Put the Iso in auto and start clicking until you run out of battery lol

Hassan Ali Sorry Hassan, my mistake. The lens is a Tamron 24-70 f2.8. It is a very good lens.
