Such a valuable My self and mom check it twice a day at times it stats off at 93/ then 94 moving to 95 / 96/97/ and stops at 98 Why can’t it move to exact deduction rather prolonging ...

How about very cold room temp? Does this affect the initial reading? Also dry skin? When we were in the hospital, the oximeter that the hospital gave was working normally(within 1min there is a reading). But when we were discharged and returned home, when we use the same oximeter, it takes more than 2minutes just to get a stable reading. Batteries are already new. Also we have a cheaper oximeter but it does the same.

biomedical engineers say that little finger or ear cartilage is the best placement to use it is it correct, explain more about perfusion index

@Krae752 жыл бұрын
That is incorrect the index finger preferred or middle finger. Ear is a last resort and not accurate with the standard finger probe.

With due respect may i ask these Are we living on gadgets supporting life sir. Sir people were happy,had many children,healthy life. guranteed 100 years. Nobody used any oxiometers. Where we are going wrong sir. Do we realy require these fancy unreliable gadgets. A reply is highly aplreciated. Unrealistic ,unnatural,greedy life.

What ? We use these in medicine daily . People use them at home who have COPD , respiratory issues, oxygenation issues etc . If you’re healthy then obviously like any other medical device you don’t need one . Yes recently home use gas increased because of Covid-19 for people with moderate to severe cases just released from the hospital or having early respiratory symptoms. By miracle does anyone reach 100 these days without medical care . Ever wonder why men are commonly dying of heart attacks in their 50s as they once did 30-40 years ago? TECHNOLOGY and medical advancements. This “gadget “ isn’t a ventilator it doesn’t “support your life “ We use them in medicine along with blood pressure machines , thermometers , stethoscope to listen to your heart and lung . You’re confusing a very simple old “monitoring “ device with life support .

This video has very poor and inaccurate information. We “medical professionals “ teach NEVER use your thumb as it has a pulsation and will cause inaccurate reading . Recommended is the index and middle finger. Ear only used in certain scenarios , neonates (as well as foot and forehead ) MEDICAL grade pulse odometers only ! These cheap store bought best to use index or middle finger only . You demonstrated with the finger turned on it’s side WRONG finger tip down nail bed up .
