Does is transfer over Notes, addresses and multiple phone numbers in the contacts? I generally put notes in the contacts and addresses and some of my contacts have 2 numbers or more. Thank you

When I did this from my s7edge to my note 9 using smart switch, everything went pretty much as you said, but I had to log in manually with usernames and passwords (for the first time only) to all my app accounts, like banking, IMDB, everything, which is dozens of them and very time consuming. Did I miss something or is that just the way it is?

@@ellew737 I don't use WhatsApp, so I don't know. I would think they are all kept on the WhatsApp server, though, so when you login on your new phone it will all show up automatically. My issue would be that your login name and password would have to be input manually for the first time.

You will need to login to those accounts yourself. I suggest saving your passwords in a notebook or something where you can access them without needing tech.

Very helpful information. What about those data on the old phone's SD card, will these data get transfer to the main memory of the new phone?

You will just need to either switch the SD Card from old phone to new phone. OR, you can save the data from SD Card to your phone’s internal storage (downloads) and then do the full transfer.

2 questions.. Are we able to transfer some info allowing it to complete and then start the process again to transfer different data we forgot the first time? This way, I can break up the transfer to 2 smaller transfers instead of 1 large one... Also, any suggestion for how to keep an old phone charging while doing the transfer but still using the wired transfer process? I have an old S5 that dies quickly and then wireless transfer missed data last time I did this process.

1. It is not possible unfortunately. If transferring, it must be done at once. 2. My transfer from the Old Galaxy Grand Prime to my S9 took less than 10 minutes. I don’t think your S5 will die in 10 mins if it’s up to 100% before doing the transfer.

You can save these to Samsung Cloud and logging in on your new phone . (Similar to iCloud Drive.)

Just bought a new Samsung Note 10+ and during the first power on the first thing it wants to do after connecting to wifi is setup Google account and restore from a backup from my old phone. Not getting the "Copy Apps and Data" screen that you did.

NO! Once you transfer the data successfully to your new phone, just switch the SIM Card from old phone to new phone!

Smart Switch used to be better and faster. I don't understand why Samsung had to change it. Now, the phone you want to send things to have to register the content you have on the phone you want to copy from first🤦🏾‍♂️. That takes longer than before.

You would just need to insert the SIM card with your new number to your phone. All contacts will be transferred. But note, if you call or text somebody, your new number will display.
