I think the "G" is for "Gradians" . On a Casio, you enter "Set Up" and choose between Degrees, Radians, or Gradians. The most well understood is Degrees, but I think Radians may be used more in scientific calculations. You need to study up on Radians. A radian is actually a measure of length = to the Radius of a circle, but applied to the arc (edge of the circle) I have found it's best to leave the calculator set in Radian mode, but it may depend on the problem you are trying to solve. A Gradian is a unit of angular measure in which the angle of an entire circle is 400 gradians. A right angle is therefore 100 gradians. I think a 45° angle = 50 Gradians, or a slope or grade of 100%. The "Fix" refers to a fixed decimal point. Again you enter set-up to choose between 0 and 9 decimal places. You can get rid of it by choosing "8. Norm" which will display the calculation as a fractions or whole number.

To convert grade percent to degrees is actually not too complicated at all. Road incline grades are given in percentage, which is the rise over run percentage. This is the same thing as the tangent, expressed as a percentage. So 100% grade means tan x = 1, where x is the angle in degrees. Thus, convert from percentage to decimal by dividing by 100, then take the arctan (also called "inverse tangent") of that to get the degrees. Be sure your calculator is set for "degrees" trigonometric functions rather than radians or gradians. Example: 10% grade: arctan (0.10) = 5.7 degrees.

Depends on which model you own. If you have the same one as the one shown in the video i.e Casio FX-991 ES then you need not worry because it has dual battery- Solar & Battery. Solar powered when light is sufficient, battery powered when light is insufficient.

Hello, Can anyone answer me... In normal calculator if 2+50%=3 and in this calculator 2+50%=2.5 Why this is so? Is there any problem in my calculator?

Because in the normal calculate it calculates 50% of 2 and adds it to 2 whereas the scientific calculator applies BODMAS and gives the value 2.5

The so called "normal calculator" considers the 50% to be 50% of 2, but the scientific calculator considers 50% to be 50% of 1 which is 1/2. Therefore, depending on the mode the answer is 5/2. Sort of like 4/2 + 1/2 = 5/2 or 2.5. If you enter 2+50%x2, you get 3. This is probably better expressed as 2 + (50% x 2) or 2 + .5 x 2 = 3 Interestingly (2+50%)x2 or (2+1/2)x2 = 5
