I am half Russian living in Alaska and only knew English growing up, over the years I caught onto a few words (Mostly cuss words lol) and understand some... I found you thru my son, 12, who is fascinated with our Russian heritage has been learning with you when he is not preoccupied with other things now I am following you to help improve my fluentness. 2. СЕБЯ[Seebya], СЕБE[Seebye] & СOБOЙ[Saboy] within phrases Себя́ - Genitive Cебе́ - Dative Cебя́ - Accusative Cобо́й - Instrumental Cебе́ - Prepositional ★ Cебя́, Cебе́ and Cобо́й are also used within phrases. Now we don’t think of Cебя́ as a separate word. We treat it as one with the phrase that it’s in. For example: -To take along with oneself[myself, etc.] Брать с собой.[ Brat' s saboy.] -Be yourself. Будь собой.[Bud' saboy.]  This one has a meaning of “yourself”/oneself. ★ -For your self/oneself Сам себе [Sam sebye ] -I made coffee for myself. Я сделал сам себе кофе. [YA sdelal sam sebye kofe.] ★ -To feel oneself. Чувствовать себя.[ Chuvstvavat' sebya. ] -I don’t feel myself that well. Я чувствую себя не очень хорошо. [YA chuvstvuyu sebya ne ochen' kharasho] ★ -Lit: to come out of oneself/yourself Meaning: to get angry or pissed off. Выйти из себя.[Vyyti iz sebya] -Today, in the traffic jam, I got angry[pissed off]! Сегодня в пробке Я вышел из себя. [Seevodnya v probke YA vyshel iz sebya.] ★ -To act/behave one self. Вести себя [Vesti sebya ] -You behave/act badly. Ты себя плохо ведёшь. [Ty sebya plokha vedyosh'.]

My examples: -Do you hear yourself? (Accusative) Ты себя́ слы́шишь? Ty sebyá slýshish'? -She doesn’t remember herself of joy. (Accusative) Она́ не по́мнит себя́ от ра́дости. Ana nee pomnit sebya at radasti. -We made a holiday for ourselves (on our own). (Dative) Мы са́ми сде́лали себе́ пра́здник. My sami sdelali sebye prazdnik. -They are proud of themselves. (Instrumental) Они́ собо́й гордя́тся. Ani saboy gardyatsa. -Take me with you![instrumental] Возьми́ меня́ с собо́й! Vasmi menya s saboy!

Do a lesson in a different outfit. Dress like Sadko, an NKVD Officer in WW2, a Cossack, a Varangian Volga boatman, a Napoleonic Era Russian General, as Ivan the Terrible, Taras Bulba, Pushkin, do the show drunk in one of Stalin's sons outfits, ect....

If Я чувствую себя не очень хорошо van litterally be translated to "I don't feel myself that well", but it actually means "I don't feel that well", then how would one say "I don't feel myself that well" in Russian, when they eg have no feelimg in the tip of their fingers?

then we say specifically about a body part that we don't feel - я не чувствую своих рук (I can't feel my hands), я не чувствую своих ног (I can't feel my legs) etc

Я себя записал на свидание is a little unrealistic. It means something like “I signed myself up on a date” Я сыт, но заберу с собой еду после ужина … я умер/умерла после упражнения. Умерло only if it is a neuter gender eg “В лесу что-то умерло” Они вышли из себя на работе сегодня, когда увидели меня, потому что я плохо себя вёл вчера

@@ricojes why are you surprised? Many people are killing themselves smoking, eating junk food, drinking alcohol, taking drugs, sleeping a little and living with a lot of stress etc.
