The 1st and the 2nd supposed meaning are the same thing! 3A means "behind" - and to say we stand behind sth means we support/approve it, we are for it. The supposed 3rd meaning is also the same one, it's only that English uses a weird nonsensical preposition in that context. It's not a different 3A only because some other language uses a different word! 3A has a single, very clear concept, it would be best to explain that concept rather than claiming it jas different meanings only because it may translate to different words in some other language.

I think it means the same, что это за звук? - what's behind this sound? что это за напасть? - what's behind this problem? что это за прикол? - what's behind this joke? Basically shows the absence of understanding of the nature of something. It's a little weird tho, that the nouns don't get declinated in this kind of question, but that's how it is.

I guess esperanto is the language. But anyway, russian has a lot of homonyms. For example за́мок - a castle, замо́к - a lock, also замо́к - got wet.
