It's not advisable to use a secret nailer to nail hardwood flooring to a chipboard sub floor, the chipboard busts out on its underside giving a poor fixing, glue down or tongue tight screws are 2 options for this scenario

its all fully glued down now days, which is much better and more stable especially with solid wood , this laboratory setting is not typical of a real room, what if there is a radiator along the wall ? this vid is a bit naf really

the problem with that is what happens if floor needs to come up? then floorboards are knackered as well?
