You're welcome! It was a bit extreme. If it’s the smoke that concerns you then you can use oven cleaner spray to clean the inside. Spray on and leave usually for an hour then wipe off. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe. Greetings also from the north.

Kinda defeats the purpose of a “self cleaning” oven if you have to clean half of it yourself. I’ve always left the racks in. Thanks for watching

Never been an issue. No warpage and no damage. The racks are designed to be in heat so there is no issue with keeping them in there.

I never used this to clean my oven. I was wondering if I use the self clean after just cleaning the oven with pink stuff?

You will have to be more specific than “pink stuff”. This method takes the place of cleaning with any chemicals.

A code F5EO for a whirlpool oven indicates that there is a fault in the door latch. Whirlpool suggests a couple troubleshooting methods. First is to confirm that the door is actually locked. Try to open the door and see if it is indeed locked. Second you need to inspect the latch for damage. And physical damage will prevent proper locking. Third is to turn the breaker off for one minute to reset the code. If these tips don’t fix it then you may have a wiring issue and may need a service tech to look at it. Hope this helps.
