I accidentally pressed load calibration option instead of the initial auto load control calibration, it said please wait and then asked me to empty the drum with an ok option at the bottom. Instead of pressing OK, I turned off the machine as I realised I was in the wrong section. Have I messed up my machine's weight/balance calibration and if so can I fix it? To be clear, the drum was empty when I pressed it and then when it asked me to empty drum and press ok I turned off the machine instead hoping it would cancel the process and not mess up the existing factory calibration. The weight measurement of clothes still seems to function fine (eg 25% 50% 75% etc) but I am nervous. And let’s say in the future if I did want to recalibrate because my spins are always out of balance (seems to be the case with all these new W1’s)… do I just need any 5kg weight and to place in the drum? Sounds pretty easy if that’s the case, or is there some special technique/weight placement required?

Alright! Finally I was able to reach to the m9 8/9 menu on my machine… but nothing happens really when I enable the function… What should happen?

additionals infos glaned from a WT1 (washer-dryer service manual): power wash calibration: the next time you boot up the machine it will ask you to do the initial empty cycle (like the frist time it was delivered). This must be done if you change the door seal, motor, shocks, springs or power electronics. load calibration: calibrates the 3D magnetic load sensor. Asks to put a 5kg weight (a dumbell will do, no spin here) in the drum, auto reboots on end. Needs to be done if any moving part (as above) are changed / worn out. sensors/switches, denoted by S/B. gives current sensor readouts value. B8 is the float switch in the bottom of the pan, S24 is the door open/close, S78 is the door lock/unlock status, S98/S99 are the twindos container 1/2 switches (the white lever at the bottom of the twindos housing that detect if a cartridge is in or not), B3-1 is the resistive residual moisture sensing circuit for washer-dryers, formed by the metal plate on the door glass & the rear of the drum. M denotes motors M24 is the water path unit. It has 5 (6 on washer-dryers) positions. As denoted by P1, P2, P3 ... etc. P1 is door glass P2 compartment 1 (pre wash) P3 compartment 2 (main wash) P4 compartment 3 (fabric conditioner/softener) P5 cap dosing compartment P6 condenser rinsing (washer-dryers only) the number at the end denotes the water level target in millimeters rise above drum bottom. this is a way to test the analogue pressure sensor (B9) which is also used for excess foaming detection eg: M24 P3 + Y14 + 60 means water path unit position 3 (main wash compartement), water input valve enabled, 60 mm water rise expected Y denotes solenoid-valves: Y14 (also called Y40, "hot water variant ?") is the main water input valve, Y42 is the condensing water valve (washer-dryers only) R denotes the heating resistors. R1 is the bottom of the drum (it will be activated with a target of 35°C in the M24 +R test) R3, R4 are the drying resistors on top of the drum (washer-dryers only) M2 is the fan (washer dryers only) M5 is the drum motor M6 is the circulation pump (power wash) M8 is the drain pump M9-8/9 are twindos peristaltic pumps 1/2 H3-6 is the drum led light search for WTH120 TSD no. W0008 if you want the service manuals (for the washer-dryer combo but it also applies to all current gen W1 machines, wealth of info in there !) hope this helps :)

Wow I have the same machine and have problems with clogged pipes from twindos systems. It is really my own fault since I haven’t done the maintenance of cleaning the twindos every month … did not know that it needed to be done. I have opened the machine and cleaned every hose inside the machine going all the way up to the drum but it still doesn’t work… I hear the pump wanting to draw the liquid from the containers but with no success…it now says that there is not enough detergent in the container please repeat the operation “. Is there a way to access the service menu to force water running through the hoses?

@@AzizIzgin yes. as stated above, the twindows pumps in the service menu are M9-8/9. not enough detergent is triggered by temperature rise in the PT100 heater/sensor combo, which are the two mettalic tubes held in a rubber thingy. They need to be set with a downward slope as to not trigger false empty sensing. Lookup the service manual, it's explained in here.

@@Ivanovitchkalach do we “deadly normal people “ get to have the service manual? Isn’t that only for technicians? Is this the same for wkr 771 wps? I don’t really know which angle is downwards… is downwards towards the twindos containers or the other way? Since the metallic pipes thingy” go both way… the only thing that differs is the cable sensor on one side(towards the drum). I can try to change the angle of it… I am waiting for some instructions of how to force water through the hoses via the service menu .

@@AzizIzgin how to get the service manual is in my 1st post. To enable the pumps, read the manual or look again the video & search in the menus for the pump names (M9-8/9). For sensor angle, follow detergent flow from cartridge to sensor, lower point must be on cartridge side. Due to pipework, it's normal that both sensors are sloped in the opposite (imposed by the rubber bracket anyways).

I will now go ahead and try this. You have been wonderful with all the info 🙏🏻. Sorry for not understanding fast… my English isn’t the best… Hope I don’t have to do the first steps in this manual just to “open the other” settings…

I purchased a used Miele W1 (WWH860) washer. The current issue is that the clothes are not being rinsed properly. It comes out of the wash a bit soapy. So far I've set the rinse water levels to max, set the detergent auto dispensing (twindos) to an extremely low dosage, and I also set the machine to a low water pressure to give it more time to fill. Still lots of suds. Even after several "Quick Rinse" cycles with only water (I hope), there are some suds. So I realized that if a machine is moved to a new house, in a new county, it ought to be re-calibrated. But I cannot find in the manual HOW to re-calibrate it. The manual only provides instructions for calibration on initial set up. Do you know how to re-calibrate a Miele W1 washer (WWH860)? If you have any ideas, please let me know. Much appreciated!

Calibration section in Service Mode. Use the Auto load ctrl. PowerWash setting which forces the machine to do the same calibration cycle as when the machine was new.

I have the WWR860 WPS and when I click the calibration in the menu it says faulty load sensor. Does this mean there is an issue with the unit? I have issues with power wash not using enough water so the pump just chugs air the entire cycle and doesn’t spray any water out. Water just dribbles down the door. Any help appreciated guys.

Don’t worry there’s nothing wrong with it that’s because it just doesn’t have one fitted that’s only the passion model that has the load sensor 👍🏻

Also in terms of not using enough water turn on gentle action in the settings menu and that will increase the water levels

@@SuperWasherKid2002 thank you very much for helping me out. I really appreciate it. I find the power wash so useless even for a single item. If I could make the express cycle just do two rinses I would be happy but that doesn’t seem possible. When you turn quick off and it goes to 30 minutes instead of 20 it washes for longer but still performs one rinse. I will try your suggestion if I give it another try.

@@SuperWasherKid2002 Do you happen to have a solution with regard to the machine never spinning at 1600RPM? It is driving me insane. I understand if the load is not easily balanced it may reduce it but its so ridiculous. Sometimes I re-spin and the amount of water coming out is litres. Today I couldn't be bothered and threw the towels into the dryer knowing they felt very damp. Im now at 2 hours and 45 minutes and they still are not dry because they went in so wet. I just dont get it, it was a full load of towels meaning it should be an easy task to balance with even weight distribution. Honestly this machine drives me insane. I miss my Electrolux.

Personally i would place something lighter than 5kg when calibrating if you want it to be more sensitive to oob loads. Don’t worry, this doesn’t affect the weighing ability of the unit quite like you think it may.

@@markiebud247 ok… so it is ok to press the load calibration option by accident, and it then processes and says please wait and then tells me to empty drum and press ok. At that point I switched off machine so it will just revert back to whatever it was calibrated at before? Is there a way to check on your end if it affects it or changes it? I am just concerned now the out of balance sensor will not work properly until I recalibrate fully..,? And to confirm, if I want to actually calibrate it in the future to try and make my spins a bit better, can I just use any 5kg weight and position however I like? E.g. dumb-bell etc.? Or does it have to be done some special way? Thanks for your help

Mieleboy 96 no problem! 😉 yes it does if it gets too unbalanced it will rebalance automatically but it is a bit less sensitive than normal :)

I'm wondering could you clean the twindos hoses even when the washing detergent isn't empty. Or is it only posible when the machine tells you to... I might say it uncorrect but im dutch so thats why im not saying it good maybe, i'll also will say it in Dutch.. Kun je het twindos reinigins programma ook gebruiken als je twindos flaccons nog niet leeg zijn. Stel je draait 20 wasjes in de maand en er zit voor 33 wasjes in dan zouden de twindos flacons nog niet helemaal leeg zijn. Wat gebeurt er dan als je toch de leidingen van je twindos tussendoor wilt reinigen, raakt de machine dan van slag?

Calibration will ask you to load drum, and it calibrates the out of balance sensor, so you can cock it up by not doing it right. You only did the 3 taps on start button to go into this section, my Miele does a 5 tap one as well as the 3 tap, they enter into diff sections.
