Generally speaking if you've been accused of something negative in the media and and there's a lot of people talking bad about you, being quiet and letting people forget about you and forget about the the anger usually works help you rebuild up your reputation so it's kind of like if you mess up sometimes, distance or not talking helps people forget the bad that you've done and built and rebuild your reputation and you see a lot of Brands doing that and you see a lot of celebrities and politicians doing that too. The most powerful people use silence as a defensive tool right the most powerful people know when to speak and when not to speak.

100%. I used to say everything or text everything when I’m mad. Didn’t get me anywhere. But now, I put my phone down or take myself out of the situation. Then self-sooth. Nap, gym, journaling or taking myself out on a date. It feels good when you’ve calmed down and realized you are in control of your feelings and actions.

Stay silent when: You're angry You don't have all the facts. Always verify what you learn. If your words will offend a weaker person It's time to listen (stop interrupting) be interested in other people. You're tempted to make light of holy things. Abide to their rules and don't try to offend them. Some people are more sensitive. You're tempted to joke about sin. Don't joke around about anything If you're gonna be ashamed of your words later If you're words will convey the wrong impression Don't gossip You're tempted to lie If your words will damage a friendship or someone's reputation When you're beings critical with yourselves and others You can't say it without screaming Raising your voice is a sign of loosing control your words will give your friends and family a poor impression you may have to eat your words later you already said it more than one time you are tempted to flatter a wicked person You are supposed to be working instead

Lately, i'm learning to listen more than I speak and make people feel really good. So grateful to be 27 and learnt this crucial life lesson at such a young age. Thanks Dalexis for more insight on why I should continue this.

Proverbs 15:1..& James 1:19 FYI* Discusses this directly, about silence & thoughtfully behaviors, instead of confrontation when angry.

Always good to shut the heck up and listen to people when they talk, however sometimes people come to talk to you because they want to be asked questions it’s like they want you to dissect their mind

I ve been practicing staying silence when I have nothing to say and stop trying to impress people. Unfortunately, when you're the one who say less, other people feel entitled to taaaalk and talk shit even if you are not interested. Then I feel like i HAVE to speak (even when I have nothing important to say) so the other person can shut tf up 😂

People use so called jokes to say what they really mean or to purposely tear others down. That's why your jokes don't go over well, because they seem genuine & your apologies don't.

Telling women to be quiet, that’s original. Silence is not always tact and it is tact that is golden, not silence

Yeah I stopped doing that, because no one reciprocates respecting my belief system… If there is any notice of being slightly conservative (which in todays political landscape is actually centrist ) people automatically pre judge you . Or call you a bigot which is a big word.. While I can be open minded about others, they can’t so I don’t even try to make friends anymore since politics just automatically comes out in every conversation (trans, pronouns etc)

Just want to tell you that I tried all that I learned from your vids to this guy. It worked mostly but I think I may have done something wrong coz he still ends up cheating everytime. Maybe he is just a jerk and the good thing is he just tells me that he's the one to blame. Or maybe this is just weeding out a trashy toxic person from my life who has no dreams and no plans. Maybe he feels irritated whenever I talk about my life goals.

What about when you are silent but gossip in your mind. Does that mean we've moved past this more primitive egoic form of thinking? Or is this more ideological thinking creeping in? Haahahaha Very interesting topic Delexus !
