Can you use wax resist over the image and then glaze in a different color other than clear?
@HobbyCeramicraft6 жыл бұрын
Don't think so. Wouldn't expect wax to wash out of screen or mix well with medium. I would use stroke and coat, then fire it . Then paint and the fired areas will act as a resist as there is glaze within the stroke and coat paint which will then be shiny and resist the colour you paint on top.

Can you apply this to an already glazed product, then put more glaze on top and bake?
@HobbyCeramicraft4 жыл бұрын
Not with the paint used in this video. I would think you could print with silkscreens on top of a glazed surface, however you would need a different paint product that would be fired into the glaze surface.

I have tried this several times on free ware and the pattern pops off in the bisc firing, is this only suitable on bisc ware ?
@HobbyCeramicraft3 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry, I'm not sure what 'free ware' is. The reason a paint may pop off in a firing is the difference between the expansion and contraction rates of the products.

Are you refiring the piece after applying the silkscreen? And is the silkscreen over clear glaze?
@HobbyCeramicraft6 жыл бұрын
Clear glaze over the top, then fire.

Can I put them in dish washer pls

White earthenware clay can be put in the dishwasher, however it will be less hard wearing than a higher temperature fired clay such as Stoneware or Porcelain.

Does it need any fixing afterwards, and before usage?
@HobbyCeramicraft7 жыл бұрын
In this example in the video we would be glazing the outside of the bowl and firing to 1000C
@HobbyCeramicraft6 жыл бұрын
Yes. In this example we applied clear glaze then fired to 1000C.
