I don't think we are going to find anything else! Chamberlin/Lift master MyQ has recently started cracking down on their open API and therefore 3rd party apps like this that are not specifically approved by MyQ won't work. Its all about the money! Honda and Tesla signed agreements to make the app available in their cars and so they can charge a monthly fee for it. GRRR.

Great vid. We just bought a Tesla and it would have been $350 to get Homelink through Tesla. We found your video and purchased the MyQ on Amazon for $27.36, installed it (took 1 1/2 hours, internet problems) anyway, We followed your step by step to set up Siri. Thought would drop this as ran into hard time getting this automated. For anyone looking to automate, you need to first setup a customized FOCUS setting geo tagged for your house. Then setup automation using FOCUS created (best to use Focus logic when turn on door opens, when Focus turn offs door closes) and then steps posted for the shortcut. In addition on last screen before finalizing automation need to check off Ask Before Running. These additional steps will eliminate need to initiate shortcut/siri command. It will be based on geolocation of iPhone/iPad/watch to trigger action upon entry and exit in the geofence.

Thanks for the video. My Live key app is not signing me into the MyQ app, I tried many many times and keeps saying invalid credentials. I did sign in the MyQ app with my Goggle account but I am using the same sign in info when I’m in the Live key but it’s just not working.

Fixed the problem. Apparently I had to sign in the MyQ with an email and password not Google account because the password is not stored into MyQ if I use google account.

Great video! How’s the behavior if you ask a HomePod or HomePod mini? I got it to work once, but after if I try to open I get your garage doors can’t do that. I even changed the shortcut name to just Garage Door 1 as to not say open and even if I say run shortcut Garage Door 1 it will still respond with the your garage doors can’t do that. Any ideas on a work around or anyone in this thread? Thanks!

this happened to me also but with the google login. I had to share my account with another email ( used my google email +myq to the username and registered that way) and then when i registered I did so with an email and password vs amazon or gmail (no SSO) and used that. hopefully this helps! the developers do need to work on the app integration to livekey to allow this - no dice for now.

Did run into a problem today. I was on Bluetooth listen to music on my car and when I pulled in the driveway and announced hey Siri, she said that my garage was not accessible. I turned off my Bluetooth and said it again and it worked. Do you have any idea what I might’ve done wrong or need to do to correct it? I went back through your video and made sure everything looked OK.

Is this still working for you? My LiveKey app shows "No Response" now so I deleted the MyQ integration and re-added it but when I try to enter the credentials that I just tried on the actual MyQ app, it now longer accepts it in the Live Key app so it says "Invalid Credentials" even though its all correct. Was working great for 2-3 months. Bummed.

I cannot seem to get the myQ to log in the livekey app. It says invalid credentials and it’s definitely the correct password and email. I logged in a couple times on myQ app to make sure.

Only issue I run into is every now and then Siri tries to go to my apple home kit and not use the shortcut function. So it is kinda hit or miss for it to work. Still great information.

Shut down your phone. Mine did the same thing and started back working a couple days later. Make sure your WiFi hasn’t changed.

I'm experiencing something weird happening where I see '0 items' after providing my myQ credentials into LiveKey. The myQ account is a co-owner. Also strangely enough, after linking my LiveKey to myQ, the myQ account loses the connection to my Garage Door Opener. The Owner's account still sees it as part of the shared Users however. Any one else experienced this?

i echo this is great, it was perfect and helped me figure this out! i'm interested in if you work on and get to work some gps related functions... i don't know if it will really be feasible with a smartphone without some closer vehicle integration. but the siri option is great.
