I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate this content. I have been searching and searching for information like this and it is incredibly difficult to sift through the million courses that are sold these days that end up just giving a marketing program that feels sleazy. I’m not a person that hates social media, but I don’t want to be a car salesman if you know what I mean. I am going into my first year farming, but I also am trying to drive business for my photography since moving a year ago. I’m leaving this video feeling inspired and not quite so overwhelmed with it all. Thanks again. I watch a lot of flower and gardening content and your videos have been some of the best as far as answers to questions I’ve had a hard time finding answers to. Thanks for the inspiration. Until very recently I've been disliking posting as it feels so fake and sleezy. Until I realized I can and should do it MY way and make it fun for me. Now I'm loving it. Remember that done is better than perfect. Posting once a week is better than never and a very good start. There are scheduling services (meta, Adobe, later...) that help with the logistics and timing.

Very good information! Recently I had to go back and look at my page to see if it is easy to see where we are located. I added the location and noticed I didn’t write local flowers. I specifically stay away from local flower farmers to not compare myself but I will occasionally look for patterns of posting. Thanks for tips on engaging with LIKE and FOLLOWING. I’m trying to get my town interested.

Great video! Do you have a marketing background or are you self taught? I hope a big Fortune 500 company doesn't snag you up to head their sales department (we would miss you)! I love the way you are willing to share your knowledge so generously and your presentation is so inspiring. I created a cottage garden last year and am now considering starting a flower farm in Arkansas. My area doesn't have the population of a nearby Tulsa but perhaps I could somehow make it a "destination" since we are blessed with summer tourists. I had a Business IG acct when I first started and for some reason I changed it to a personal acct. So I have my flower farm and my personal IG acct. Should be able to change a personal account into a business account and not lose content.

For years I’ve been posting on social media for houseplants and hobby gardening. This will be my first year dipping my toes into flower farming. Should I start new social media accounts for the new flower farm name? Or change my current accounts to reflect the farm name?

If you are going to use your existing account exclusively for your farm then I would just change the name. If it’s going to be a mix of content, then make a new account.

The adjustments to the algorithm take awhile to take effect. I mention that they are saying they are adjusting the insta one but I haven’t noticed it.
