That was one of the best and easiest to follow videos on making a spiral bouquet, and it’s simply gorgeous! Thanks for sharing 😊

Beautiful! So fun to watch an expert floral designer at work - you can almost see Ellen's hands and fingers fly as they work their thing as she talks us through her thought process. Love this!

You are so welcome! Thanks for watching! Do you make any wrapped bouquets like this?

Last summer I was trying to practice the spiral technique with my wrapped bouquets, but having a really hard time getting the hang of it. I've watched so many videos, but yours is very clear and easy to follow. This coming season I'm going to practice while following along with this video. My flowers are often packed together too tight and I'd like the bouquet to have a looser, more open look. Thanks!
@ellenfrostflowers11 ай бұрын
You can do it! one way to have a looser look is to hold the flowers lower down on the stems so that they splay out more. Also be sure to be varying the placement of the flowers and foliage so that they are at different heights. Keep me posted on your progress! I'm excited to see the outcome!

@@ellenfrostflowers Thanks for the tips!

Oh my goodness! I will be doing this same project later this morning! I volunteer for a local non-profit to make bouquets from donated flowers to take to area nursing homes. Your tips will make me much more efficient at putting together attractive bouquets. Do you add greenery to the selection of stems? What is a good, finished stem length for these so they sit comfortably in a bucket to transport? Thank you, Ellen!
@ellenfrostflowers11 ай бұрын
That's so great that you do that!! Great questions too! If we have foliage I will add it. For wrapped bouquets I try to make them a little more flower forward so they look nice and colorful in the bucket for sales. For stem length, I use standard black florist buckets so I always want the bouquets to be a bit taller than the bucket- so maybe about 14 inches. This also gives people the option of keeping them that length or cutting them a bit shorter. If you needed them to be shorter (because the stems you have are shorter), you could use shorter buckets.
@carriew2911 ай бұрын
@@ellenfrostflowers thank you! I think I will check the height of the buckets and leave the stems a bit longer to give folks some options. Thanks!

Thanks for watching! These are the winter rose poinsettias. I love them and try to use them as much as I can during the few weeks we have them available to us!

Gorgeous flowers and such a generous bouquet. What would be the price of this bouquet at a farmers market? Hope not inappropriate to ask.
@ellenfrostflowers11 ай бұрын
We sell this size bouquet at our flower shop for $100. You can use the same process for any sized bouquet with any number of stems.

❤❤❤ Absolutely gorgeous and voluminous!!! I wish I could learn a hack to do this. I have carpel tunnel syndrome and it is impossible for me to hold. Do you know of any hacks? Thank you for sharing. You have such a great soothing voice and patience for teaching 😊❤🙏

One way is to design it in a vase and then pull it out and rubber band it. You wouldn't have to be holding it the whole time. Try a vase shaped like a pyramid so that you can get a wide, splayed bottom like you would if you were doing the spiral in your hand. If you try it, let me know how it works!

Beautiful 💐💐How many stems did you use ?? What do you charge for a wrapped bouquet ??
@ellenfrostflowers11 ай бұрын
I think I used about 35 stems for this. This was a $100 bouquet. We offer bouquets at custom price points starting at $35.

Beautiful! If you put wrapped bouquets in a bucket, how do you keep the bottom of the craft paper from getting wet? I supposed you're just careful that the water level is just below it?
@ellenfrostflowers11 ай бұрын
YES! this is such a great question. We only put a small amount of water in the bottom of the buckets-maybe a couple of inches. We make sure that all the stems are cut evenly to ensure that every stem in in water.

Roughly 12-18/ week during the season but mine are always so tight and overstuffed 😅

Overstuffing is a common challenge. Try this method and see if it helps loosen it up. Let me know if it works!

Great video. Can you give us some information on where to buy that craft paper roll holder that you're using?
@ellenfrostflowers11 ай бұрын
Hi! I think we got the holder from Uline. It cost about $40. The paper is 18" 40lb Kraft Paper Roll from a local place called B and G Paper company in Pennsylvania.
