For the longest time i was terrified of using tampons because I had a bad experience on my first try. But this video helped me so much and helped me regain confidence to try again! @@quartz744 half-way. And then you push the applicator and it'll get pushed in. Remember to do it at a 45° angle. If it hurts, take it out, although that's also gonna hurt. Try again. It took me like 10 tampons to get it right.

@@xynium. i tried so may times and it still hurts when i move like i only blead heavily on the first 3 days and on the first day i tried it was ok but on the second and third day i try so many times the tampons cuz it was hurting so much when i move (i use super size tampons although i dont think the size is the problem since it worked for my perfectly on the first day however on the second and third days is where i usually bleed the heaviest but it still hurted)

Hay I’m 19 I had my period for the last 10 years and I for the first time today used one! I definitely panicked at first but it’s a lot of help and I say to any girl/women to use one next to not worry as much as you would it’s really not hard and scary or complicated as you think. I find it easiest to lay back and lift my leg a bit and insert it the way your supposed to then leave it in as long as you need to but don’t tense up as it will be hard to insert you have to actually relax and let your muscles stay at ease so you have an easier time getting it in there haha. Naw, it's like what the Glamrs lady and shrreyyaa said: "do what's best for you." However, I will say, that I literally just put my first tampon in like 10 mins ago and despite how nerve-wracking the actual insertion was, it's much more comfortable than sitting on a bulky pad (that eventually gets wet and smelly, for me anyway) and other than some very mild discomfort (probably cause it's my first one, and also I probably put it in slightly askew), I hardly notice it and already prefer it to pads. Hoping to make the permanent switch to a cup once I've gotten used to tampons.

(Gynaecs have told me). So, I know I've the advantage of using the best pads sold, but tampons are MORE EXPENSIVE. So, same price point. Why would anyone risk their life & trade for getting more discomfort, hassle by throwing more money?

You might want to consider trying a menstrual cup, it's so much better than tampons. Simply made of sylicon, it will last you 10 years; absolutely safe, confortable and easy to use. It was such a game changer to me, I haven't bought a single pad or tampon in the last 4 years 😍 Also, it's super sustainable.

India is used to pads, used to not dying of period solutions and used to not reading packaging. So, don't try to compare US with my country. If 1 died with a lipstick, I think that's enough. dear all the girls watching, putting in a tampon is really hard. it took me two whole days of trying and a whole lot of tampons. While the videos i watched were helpful the comment sections helped me the most. here are the things that helped me the most warning it’s kinda graphic 1.) USE A MIRROR i tried so many times with and without a mirror and ultimately the mirror was the most helpful thing. u can’t really see the whole but u can identify it because it’s dark bc of the blood. (it was wayyyy further back then i thought) 2.) it’s gonna take a while to put it in. once i FINNALLY got it in the right spot it took me like 7 minutes to fully insert it. u have to keep readjusting ur angle to keep going 3.) IT HURTS TO PUT IT IN!! at least the first time. the journey to get to the safe spot hurts. eventually you’ll feel something that i can’t describe and it won’t hurt and you’ll be in almost all the way and it won’t hurt anymore. 4.) it’s hard to relax. a lot of comments just say “stay relaxed the whole time 😁😁 “ but no it’s hard to do that. it’s super stressful the first time!!! when i was stuck or almost in there i was not staying relaxed so i reminded myself every once in a while to hold on remcompose and breath then keep going. 5.) aftermath: after you FINALLY get it in it will probobly hurt a bit because nothing has ever been down there. just take deep breaths and remind yourself how hard you worked to get that stupid thing in there and either way it’s gonna hurt a million times more to take it out. 6.) keep trying. like i said it took me two days and i tried like 10 times a day and i cried like 20 times about. YOU WILL GET IT. it might not be today or tommorow or next month but you will figure it out. you got this and remeber it’s totally ok to take a break now and try again later. you can do this. if you know friends who wear them think about how they probobly struggled to at first and they probobly cried and screamed too and now they can do it very easily. you got this and don’t forgot you are enough whatever period product you use. i hope this helped 🫶🫶 please tell me if it did

Wow..... all I can say is wow I’m 12 and I don’t like using pads because the feel weird and I don’t like the gushy feeling (sorry if that’s tmi) so I tried to get a tampon in yesterday and my last period and I didn’t. But I just got it in and I definitely recommend either sitting in the toilet,or standing up with one leg on the counter I will update and let you guys know how it goes with taking out and if there were any leaks or anything. I’m so happy I got it in🥺☺️☺️😊 Lil update it’s only been a few minutes I’m still on the toilet because it feels a little wierd but I think it because I didn’t put it in far enough because I was scared so imma push it in a little more UPDATE! Lol sorry for all the updates,but I pushed it in farther and I can no longer feel so when time to pull it out I will make an update BYE!! Yea uh so another update I’m taking it out I tried pushing it a little farther in but I can still feel it when taking it out it definitely feels weird I will be sticking to pads maybe I’ll try again tomorrow but most likely not I’m really disappointed😔not in my self tho

I used pads for 8 years straight and suddenly switched to menstrual cup however I was suggested to try a tampon first. Most of these points are also applicable to menstrual cups. Like, it may leak while sleeping. It takes few attempts to master and one should try to insert it only whilst periods because other times the vagina might be dry and won't comfortably let it in.

For all you 13 year olds out there saying you are scared or afraid it will hurt, i had my first experience at 13. (I’m now 14 and tampons are amazing!!) Inserting was so easy once i found the hole. 😊 I used the light tampon as it’s the smallest applicator. Once i was ready to take it out i made sure it was quiet so i could relax. Before I went in and tried to pull it straight out i wiggled it around to try to adjust a bit. Also recommend peeing whilst pulling because it will definitely help come out easier. It only stung a little like a little pinch! Just breath snd remember you got this girly! You are strong and you can do it!! 😊🥳💖

Hi Parul, it could break your hymen but hymen is just a thin curtain of tissue that serves no purpose in your vagina. The hymen is not an indication of virginity even if you are a virgin you can have a ruptured hymen because of cycling, swimming, ballet, horse riding or any strenuous physical activity. I used a menstrual cup that caused my hymen to rupture, I would say don't use it before marriage.Because it is a small hole that breaks with a little pressure or force.
